You can’t have One Piece without We Are!

3:49 I legit started tearing up when “We Are” started playing. They did this so much Justice.

That final shot of the Going Merry, with the sea stretched out before it and the News Coos flying overhead... As the title comes into view and "We Are" plays in the back... Gave me chills man.

As soon as "We Are!" Kicked in I started grinning....with Joy

The moment "We Are" started to play, I had goosebumps

I can't believe a Netflix live action adaptation gave me goosebumps. That We are hit different.

I like how it started something you’ll hear from the Pirates of The Caribbean then suddenly you hear “We Are” OST in the end Truly magnificent.

Everybody here in love with "We Are' at 3:49 and yet here I am completely in love with the part from 1:10 - 1:58. It really hits me as the starts of a grand adventure.

Really love how this show’s main theme seemlessly blends in with the classic theme of the anime symbolizing how the material is very familiar yet completely original

Its honestly amazing how they managed to make a song that sounds like it was pulled straight from the anime. Even the anime itself sometimes struggles to use new OSTs that fit well. This is just brilliant
  • Kouhei Tanaka-sensei must be smiling that his work made it to this adaptation... even for only several seconds. 😊

Interesting fact: one of them who made this music is Sonya Belousova, her surname in English means “daughter of Whitebeard”.

I love that they saved the title shot with Luffy's jolly roger (with the straw hat on) until the very last episode, at the end of it. The Strawhat crew was finally - and only - complete then, and it felt completely well earned. We were all cheering with Luffy. Netflix did the impossible this time. I feel like the success of this show is just like when Luffy one day proves that the One Piece is real by succeeding at the impossible.
  • Holy shit! We are gave me chills! This netflix OPLA is giving the manga/anime justice. From the casts, the whole team show runners with all the easter eggs, using outfits from cover pages of the manga to this soundtrack. This is how you make an anime adaptation you honour the source material!
  • One of the biggest reasons I loved One Piece is that it’s so inclusive…as a kid, I was constantly excluded from a lot of things, but the chorus of We Are! said “There’s always room for you, if you want to be my friend.” Luffy spinning his hat, grinning at us, the viewer, and inviting each and every one of us to be a Strawhat Pirate and join in the adventure. An Escape. A place for those who seek to find a way to leave their world behind. “EVERYONE…WE’RE LEAVING TOGETHER!!!!”-Luffy after beating Rob Lucci

Still can't believe that the best TV show of 2023 was a live action adaptation of One Piece.
  • I am currently watching this show and when I heard "we are" I started jumping from joy. By the way Syrup Village arc got the love it deserved
  • @NN-yy9gb
Its nice to know this is adapted into the live action as a nod to the anime's ost
