  • Great video. Years ago I had Hashimotos Thyroid disease but was able to reverse it by changing my diet. I went vegetarian and now vegan. At the time, I greatly reduced dairy, sugar & gluten. Mostly drank water and focused on mostly vegetable intake. Through the years I still get my t3 & t4 tested and still have a normal working thyroid thank goodness.

As someone who has struggled with Hashimoto's for 12 years, this is by far one of the most important videos on Hashimoto's on the internet! I recently moved from Los Angeles to Chicago and wish I'd found you when I lived in LA. This video is more informative than the last decade of visiting my endocrinologist. I finally did my own research (years of it) before learning the exact things in this video and finally getting on the path to healing. I started about four months ago and have gone from 150 mcg levothyroxine to 88 mcg (as my thyroid began to heal I could no longer tolerate the dose I'd been on for years). My inflammatory markers have gone down and anti-TPO has gone down but still elevated (I was still eating dairy...cheese was so hard to give up). Now that I'm gluten, soy, and dairy free, eating a nutrient-dense diet, engaging in stress busting activity, getting the right amount and type of exercise, and taking thyroid supportive supplements, including getting my vitamin D and iron up (both were severely low) I'm feeling so much better and still have a ways to go. I believe weight loss is important because fat is not just a dormant storage system. It behaves more like an organ, secreting hormones and contributing to inflammation. I've lost 20 pounds since starting my health journey 4 months ago but have a ways to go. Thank you so much for this video. Your patients are lucky!! If I ever move back to the West Coast I know who to see. You are changing lives! You are a Godsend, you are an amazing example of the approach physicians should take when treating hashi's.

I was diagnosed when I was 12 and told repeatedly there was no cure. If there is even one case of it being reversed docs need to stop saying that. I wish more doctors would approach things holistically like you. Thank you for the video.

One of the most comprehensive hashimoto vids to include medication, food and lifestyle interventions to both stabilize and possibly even reverse the disease!
  • @jasminetallon
I was recently diagnosed and you are the only one out so many videos I’ve watched who explains what to do to treat the disease. Thank you.
  • This was a very comprehensive and informative video. I love all your videos. They are so helpful and they’re succinct. Thank you for putting them out.

I’ve been battling Hypothyroidism for 10+ years and never knew much about it. It wasn’t until I started seeing a new Dr that I suggested doing an antibody test to see if I may have Hashimotos - my TPO tested at 1300 and I was diagnosed w hashimotos. Ive been researching nonstop on how to naturally treat it and this is legit one of the best videos I’ve seen that explains how to treat Hashimotos without making you further confused, thank you!!❤
  • @jonaydogan2275

Thank you so much Doctor for putting in the effort to make these videos for those of us who cant consult you due to the location!! Very helpful. My mother has Anti-tpo antibody level of greater than 1000 and we are already following some of these things but will incorporate the other aspects as well. 🙏
  • I have suffered my entire adult life with Hashimoto Thyroid disease and have been on medication since my late 20’s. Your video and explanation and testing is amazing. I have been to at least 5 endocrinologists and none have ever done what you describe other than routine TSH and T3, T4 tests. Do you do video appointments and review labs for remote patients? Thank you!
  • @nav_yt
I am halfway in the video and I have to stop and applaud 👏... this is a masterpiece... the structure of the information is just incredible easy to understand and touches every component you need to know about this thyroid disorder which is a tricky and confusing one. Thank you! ❤

  • @freespirit3818
I was diagnosed with hasimotos at the age of 60. I've watched hours of Utube videos on the subject. Just like to say this hand on heart has been one of the best at explaining why things need to be excluded from your diet.
  • @Lastdayone
Gratitude to you for this video! It was very clear and detailed. I am saving it to continue to listen to!
  • @hollymc989
Thanks for including the tidbit - thyroid conditions can lead to other autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Soy explanation is good and detailed too. Thanks.
