"SO in the end, my Best Friend became my girlfriend, My Girlfriend became my worst enemy, and my worst enemy became my Best Friend." Critically underrated line.
-
Sky High deserved a sequel so badly and no one can tell me otherwise.
-
Weird how a B class film from the 00s is better than 80% of whats on nowadays
-
This was Disney's My Hero Academia before My Hero Academia was even a thing.
-
We all secretly like sky high tho 😭😭😭
-
Sky High was never forgotten. All the real ones still remember this banger of a classic to this day. Back when Disney was still focused on putting out quality content

Has the superpower to grow infinite plant life and end world hunger: "She's obviously just a hippy."

@11:35 if I’m not mistaken wills dad hugs him here and if you think about it it’s the first time wills dad could hug his son without restraint which is pretty touching

I absolutely love that the parents are simultaneously "saving the world" all the time, and excited about the idea of winning a trip to Hawaii via real estate sales.

Layla was literally the best part of this movie. That ending scene with her and the cheerleaders will always be iconic.

Pfffffff......had this on DVD as a father at 18, me and my son would sit in my recliner and watch sky high EVERY DAY. he loved it and it's all I had. 😂 good memories.

Warren Peace walked so Winter Soldier could run 😂😂😂

this movie was honestly better than it had any right being. i love that line in the end "my girlfriend became my arch enemy, my arch enemy became my best friend, and my best friend became my girlfriend". it just makes everything feel full circle and it puts a nice bow on the movie.

"I went through puberty twice.... for this. "Suprised Alex didn't mention this line that resonates so differently as an adult than as a teenager.

One thing that really bothered me about this movie was that for the second half we’re supposed to believe that Will becomes a jerk after his powers kick in. However, Will never actually does anything mean to his friends or anyone, he joins the friend groups of the Gwen and the “hero’s table” and forgets his date with Layla, but aside from that he seems kind of passive. Gwen was the real jerk, isolating Will from his sidekicks in some boarder line abusive tactics. There is this one scene where Will goes to great his sidekick friends and Gwen just yanks him away like that is really messed up when your think about. Also, knowing that Gwen is technically an adult manipulating a high school boy and by extension his friends their interactions come off as extra creepy.

My sister and I always quote 'Never Give Up, Never Surrender' to each other whenever something slightly annoying that we are trying to overcome happen.
-
It saddens me to know that this Disney film didn’t become a franchise.
-
A minor detail I appreciated is that Layla ends up in sidekick class due to her protesting the assessment rather than Coach Boomer somehow not comprehending how powerful plant manipulation is.
-
Thier was alot of things to appreciate about this movie the main ones for me being Wills character and the fact he actually had a spine that he was willing to stand up for his friends against his super powered dad and even against the girl he liked once he realized shes a total B
