Seven, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mindhunter, True Detective (s1), Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, Zodiac. I love these kind of movies/shows.

Nick Cage about to haunt everyone's dreams this summer, I love it

This has hands down been some of the best marketing trailers/teasers I've ever seen. Never truly showed Nicholas Cage's face one time and the atmosphere it creates in just these trailers just gives you dread and fear

That weird inhaling scream sound, reminds me of the voices from the Faith horror video game

You know the studio has the utmost faith in a horror film if they're releasing it in July.

The background music couldn't be more perfect. An absolute 10/10 trailer, really can't wait for the movie🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I went to an advanced screening of this and it blew me away. Not gonna spoil much. I just wanted to inform that Nicholas Cage is unrecognizable. This movie seems to be an ode to Seven, Silence of the Lambs, and Zodiac. Although a slow burn, the sound fx and cinematography created an unsettling atmosphere throughout the film.

Idk if I can wait 11 more days, I’m so damn hyped!

This looks like it’s going to be anxious and dark as hell. I just know Nicolas Cage is gonna be so unhinged and I love Monroe too. I’m very excited for this. The director is the same director that made The Blackcoats Daughter which is super underrated and captures depression and loneliness better than a lot of horror i’ve seen, so excited to see his new work as well. I also get huge David Fincher vibes with this, but I definitely feel like there is going to be paranormal/otherwordly elements at play due to all the little teasers and trailers and imagery we see in them. Edit: Actually so many interesting looking horror films coming out this year. Longlegs, Heretic, Nosferatu, MAXXXine, The Front Room etc.

0:39 goes crazy hard. We've seen that transition before, but this time we actually hear HIS scream as well.

Please, I just came here to comment after watching it today. It was definitely one of the good horror movies that left me feeling uncomfortable throughout the entire show. It wasn’t just the feeling of horror, but a mix of everything from being disgusted and creeped out, not just by the antagonist but even by the main character herself. Maika was a good actress because the way she portrayed that blank look and soulless character made me uneasy since I wasn’t able to gauge the character well. And Nicolas literally killed his character—he was too good in this!

One of the best movies I’ve seen in years. The suspense and tasteful subtle tone, and the graphic nature lets it all hang out in this one. I haven’t been this stoked to see a movie in theatres probably since Oppenheimer
  • @MonoMino1197
I haven't been this excited for a film in a long long time
  • @oPerFeqT
Oh im so very excited!!! my sister is an Assistant Director on this film and i cannot wait to see it in the theatres!!
  • Theory - that weird rasping breathy noise we hear in all of the trailers isn’t just the score - it’s someone’s last/dying breaths, and we hear it repeatedly because the memory/sound of it constantly haunts the protagonist’s thoughts ever since she heard it as a kid.

Easily the best moviegoing experience ive had in a WHILE. With regard to horror/thrillers at least. Nick Cage is almost unrecognizable, and the tension during the movie is gripping. Highly recommending to everyone that likes films like Silence of the Lambs, Prisoners, etc.
  • @decibelfilm
At 2 seconds in - "I love Imogen Poots." At 18 seconds - "Ah. Fortunately I also love Maika Monroe."
