Typically, Alabama is the #1 team, has star players everywhere on the roster and they dominate every team they play. This year has been different as they struggled to find a QB, dropped a huge game at home, arent blowing anyone out and quietly are headed back to Atlanta for the SEC champiosnhip. But how did all this happen and did it really start last year? Today, I want to take a look at this weird Alabama team and go through the season, enjoy!

Topics are being covered fast, 80 videos left to do in 2023, what should I add to my list to cover?
  • Big correction on McKinstry. His stats aren’t great but that’s because offenses are avoiding him. Even if he doesn’t put up great numbers, he’s been incredible as a lock down corner and will almost certainly be the top corner off the board in the draft
  • @jcore0981
This season has been a blast and watching Jalen Milroe blossom has been absolutely awesome.
  • @joeteehee4213
Nick saban is once again proving he is the GOAT. That's all
  • @warrencooper4297
Teams avoid Kool-Aid as much as possible, RB by committee is starting to pay off, the young kids are going to be exciting to watch next year and hopefully they’ll rock it thru the playoffs (providing we win out & don’t get screwed). Defense is stout and O-Line is starting to gel as well. Saban is Saban, he’s done an amazing job. Getting ride of DC was huge and New OC is figuring it out. Watching Milroe blossom has been nice too. Roll Tide
  • @Cooljohn760
Never doubted Saban or the Alabama process. Whether this team loses, Bama still will bounce back and doesn’t lose no more than 2 games a year.
  • @pcarnold9
I hope they win it all, Saban is the GOAT
  • @CrimsonDad813
Correction on the Arkansas game. Bama was up 21-0, and Arkansas came back but Bama squeaked the win out. Bama didn’t score 24 unanswered points lol
  • @robs1873
They had an odd season in 2022? What are you talking about? They lose two games by combined total of three points and it’s an odd season? The only way it’s odd is that they weren’t playing for national championship like they normally do.
  • @sneakyquick
Two new coordinators they just had to get going. Unfortunately they played texas week 2. No matter what happens this year it gives me hope they should be even better next year.
  • @dalet8019
This team is definitely a force to be reckoned with! And like u said they just some how made adjustments and figured it out! Lol seriously though, they will go far with Milroe at QB. ALOT of ppl put him down but we get him next year too! He is gonna continue to dominate!
  • @dustindavis5882
This team is full of elite NFL talent. Especially the defensive side. The offense not so much but they’re good enough to win. On the defense you have Turner and Braswell, Braswell is better than turner right now. And Downs will be the best defensive player in the nation next year. Arnold is better than koolaid, who a lot of people thought would be the best DB in the country. The team is stacked

I’ll tell you what happened, a young offensive coordinator came into one of the most high pressure jobs in college football, and had to deal with multiple new and unproven quarterbacks, running backs, recievers, lineman, and tight end, hell, pretty much an entirely raw offense. On top of that, the qb battle wasn’t decisive well into the season and the playbook had to account for multiple playstyles. They had to break in a new offensive tackle who would have been in high school three months prior agaisnt SEC fronts. Once Milroe was the guy, the playbook was built around his strengths, the line learned his cadences and average depth in the pocket, he learned the receivers’ breaks, catch radius, acceleration, and he become more confident with his legs and arm after playing some tough defenses like Texas, A&M, and Tennessee. And the defense has been stout all year, just never got any help from the offense until recently. People forget they held Texas to 13 before they got an interception to the goal line and the offense didn’t drain any clock. They also held LSU to 28 points, Ole Miss to 10, and A&M/Tennessee to 3 combined points in the second halves. This defense WILL be, bar none, on a different stratosphere than any other that UGA has played thus far. They are massive in the trenches, athletic inside the box, have two first rounders on the edge, the best cornerback duo in the county, and the best true freshman safety since Minkah Fitzpatrick. They have one of the best special teams units in the country. They have the biggest offensive line in CFB filled with experience and potential, and are hitting their stride at the perfect time. Wide receivers running 4.4s across the board, a three deep running back room, and a quarterback whose 6’3 230, runs 22 mph, and is top ten in passer rating. On top of it, we have the greatest Head Coach in the history of college football (and I won’t argue this point with delusional UGA fans who think Kirby is the best ever after two rings), fans that’s will span the globe for the Tide, and plenty of yummy rat poison to narrow our focus. Make no mistake, this Alabama team is as talented too to bottom as any other in the country, on top of that, they are hungry, focused, and playing with their backs agaisnt the wall. And if the last 15 years have taught us anything, it’s that those types of Alabama teams are the most dangerous. Point being, we may not defeat UGA on the second of December, hell we aren’t expected to. Regardless of the outcome, the progress we’ve made from week 3 to now has made me thrilled, and unlike last year we’re returning enough talent to carry most of that progression into next season. Kirby has a damn good squad and I don’t mind saying they are the best team in the nation. But they haven’t played a team like Alabama, not yet. And they will not play a wounded animal like the Crimson Tide the rest of the way. Just like the last two years, Georgia has to find out what they’re made of when they play a team that recruits and coaches at the pinnacle of the sport. I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, it’s an entirely different ball game when you play a team above the line, a team that matches you physically and skillfully. Let me put this in perspective. Per the 247 Talent Composite, Georgia has played three teams in the top 20, Auburn, Tennesssee, and Florida (at 18, 16, and 15 respectively). Alabama will have played 5, three of which are in the top ten, being LSU, Texas, and Texas A&M (at 7, 6, and 4 respectively). Alabama will not only be the only team in the top 5 of talent composite that Georgia has faced, they are the only team ABOVE Georgia in the talent composite, with a score of 1,015. For reference the degree of separation between Alabama and Florida, the highest team UGA has played, is 171 points. The degree of separation between Georgia and Texas A&M is 50 points, under a third of the variation. Now, do teams win in talent alone? Nope, both A&M and Florida play well below their talent level. The point I’m making is that not only has UGA played with a significant talent advantage every game this year, but that Alabama is the first team Georgia will not be able to out-physical or out-talent. Yet conversely, Alabama has already played three teams that compare to Georgia in composite talent. Now, talent is only as good as the coach recruiting them, but Bama doesn’t exactly lack in that department either. What I’m saying, is the game won’t be won with force or speed or size, it will be won with execution, discipline, toughness, stamina, and scheming. And I know Georgia isn’t going to come unfocused either, but I do know this: Alabama is going to play their best game yet, and give Georgia a full 60 minutes of hell, or as it’s commonly known, Alabama football. I laugh at the CFB “fans” counting Alabama out completely, thinking we are going to be another Ole Miss, Tennessee, or Missouri. When in reality, as long as Nick Saban wears the headset, Alabama plays their best football when the chips are on the table, and with their back against the wall. Always have, always will. It’s never changed, you’re just hoping it will. Georgia, I bid you a good game on the 2nd. I know you’ll be ready, and I hope you know, we will be too. If you don’t, you’re gonna learn the hard way, again, that the Alabama Crimson Tide isn’t just a football team, it’s the standard for sustained excellence. See you in Atlanta, Dawgs. And as always… Roll. Damn. Tide.

Jalen Milroe is a STAR! How many Bama records has he set? Give credit where credit is due! Also you totally forgot about Burton!
  • Jalen Milroe has gotten a lot better as the season progressed, but I don’t see him as a first round pick like past Alabama quarterbacks, but he could if he continues to improve.
  • @GK11415
Great video, a very good overview of the last 2 years of Alabama football
  • @MIA25NYC14
I would say this and I am not a Bama fan, since that lost to Texas, these boys are hungry asf. They can easily be a the one team if they beat UGA in the SEC Championship game, they will be dangerous in the playoffs. The winner of Ohio State v Michigan will be BG 10 Champions after they smoke Iowa. Washington has a chance to fail against a potential rematch against Oregon. Texas probably will chock in the Big XII Championship Game. With Florida State losing Travis Jordan, potential upset against Florida this weekend and in the ACC Championship Game against Louisville.

I guess no two analysts see things exactly the same and that is okay. I've always thought Burton was WR1 and Bond WR2 consistently all season. Although they don't have a Metchie, Jeudy, or Smith, there is a lot of talent currently in the Bama WR room. And not to mention, the TE's as well. On defense, some people look at Kool-Aid's couple of misreads/turnover as a punt returner, and base his whole season from that. He's a CB first, and other than the Texas game, you don't really hear his name called because QBs and OCs are choosing not to pick on him...and that's respect. From a numbers standpoint, no he's not lighting it up, but that could be due in part to the fact that they're not throwing his way.
