An aircraft carrier is a warship that serves as a sea-based air force base. It is also equipped with C-RAM and a flight deck on which military aircraft and suitable supply aircraft can take off and land. It also contains infrastructure for the transport, repair, arming and disarming of military aircraft as well as for the protection of the aircraft carrier. Each of the aircraft carriers in use today normally forms the core of a carrier combat group. With their help, a state can act militarily worldwide, even without maintaining bases in the conflict area. Modern large aircraft carriers (fleet aircraft carriers) with a displacement of over 75,000 tn.l. are sometimes also called "Supercarriers".

To think that in Greek and Persian ancient times the Greeks invented the Trireme ships that were designed as a battering ram to sink enemy ships during their wars. Itโs crazy how only france and the US have nuclear powered carriers. Everyone else runs some sort of steam or diesel engine which seems really inefficient for the amount of weight these ships have to carry.

even usa has the largest fleet of carriers.. they still build better ones.. so if other countries build and copy the old model usa have already building another better . impressive.. enterprise are coming and doris miller
