Throughout history, people have moved across the great expanses of the globe to establish communities. Some of them have even grown into large cities which harbor millions of individuals.
However, some people have chosen to remain in smaller groups that are totally off the radar. These communities have withstood the test of time in near isolation. In fact, many residents have never left the small area of isolation they call home. Here are 5 Isolated Inhabited Communities At The End Of The Earth

"So, you married your sister?" "Nooooooo! She's my cousin-aunt-grandma-niece. Marry my sister? What's wrong with you, man?"

I am blessed that I live here in the Philippines with so much water, plenty of fruits, vegetables and beautiful islands.

This made me open Google Maps and look for every small island in the world to see if there are available 3D/360 images. What an amazing world we live in.

There are some more isolated communities in the north of Canada. I worked as a speech language pathologist in Inuvik NWT, Canada and travelled for work to all of the 12 communities in the north of the territory. There are several that you can only reach by plane. Sach's Harbour, NWT, Canada is a small community along the Arctic Ocean with only ~100-150 people. From what I remember, the next closest community to it was about a 2-3 hour flight away. It's a beautiful place!

Hello coming from Utqiagvik! It's 3 PM and it's dark out. Also, during the summers we have endless day so that's cool.
  • Of all the tiny villages 100s of miles from anywhere in Alaska, you chose Utqiavik, a city with a retail grocery store, a hospital, an airport with commercial jets, and a university. Why didn't you choose something actually isolated like Saint Paul Alaska? That's a village of 300 in the middle of the bering sea
  • As a introvert I spent the whole video trying to decide which island to move too🤣🤣🤣

“They are all descendants of the same man” Sweet home Alabama!

The narrator sounds so excited saying, "So, if your interested in extreme cold, remote solitude, and perpetual night.." this is the place for you
  • It is strange not to see any place located in Russia, Sahara, or the Himalayas❗

I love how you included both km & miles for people that can’t convert one into the other 💯❤️

No matter how remote you’re bound to see a white person with a backpack.
