Also I just realized that the gap is 4-5 feet the one at my grandmas is 7-8 feet

It's good to see new people learning BMX freestyle, but that's not a "Bunny Hop". Back when all of this stuff was being invented and named we called that a "Rodeo". A "Bunny Hop" is when both wheels come off of the ground at the same time, you go straight up in the air and come straight back down and both wheels land at the same time. Much harder to actually get some air and clear something doing a Bunny Hop.
