Does Elon Musk's Starlink Give Him Unchecked Power in Countries? | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Elon Musk inaugurated SpaceX’s Starlink internet services in Indonesia as the world’s largest archipelago seeks to boost connectivity to its most remote areas. On future investments, Musk, who is also Tesla CEO, said that it is “very likely” his other companies will invest in Indonesia. Starlink provides internet services via a huge network of satellites. It is aimed at people who live in remote areas who cannot get high-speed internet. Does Elon Musk's control of Starlink give him unchecked power over elected governments and other bodies? Should one man control the world's internet? Palki Sharma tells you.

I trust him more than most governments. He is just likely to do something bizarre not "evil"
  • Star Link launched here in Zambia, Africa this year and its a positive Game Changer!
  • @electromega3077
Why Palki doesn’t look happy each time she talks about Elon?
  • @hannahbelle63
Starlink is what we use here in the Philippines in an area where there is barely cell signal.

For india JIO and airtel will block any chances of getting starlink. Also Tata motors and Mahindra will block getting any chances of getting Tesla into indian market. Because of indian local companies foreign products will face 100% tariff and the citizens of india won't get quality products at low price.

Internet has been around for a while he doesn’t control it he just does it better.
  • @dil9339
He’s a genius and not a Hippocrate like typical politician. He’s not that greedy like other businessmen too. Much love from SriLanka ♥️🇱🇰

It's not Elon Musk's fault he has been more productive with his life than 99.99% of all Humans. I do not support taking any of this man's possessions/companies. If he has outsized power it is because he has earned it with his blood, sweat and tears. Leave that man alone. He did not break any law or kill anyone to acquire what he has. As long competition is allowed to flourish, the world will see many more Elon Musks, this is where I stand on this issue.
  • Well FP, the first honest man to bring internet without marxist commercials.... Did he not pull the plug on the Ukraine Starlink when he found out they were bombing civilians?
  • "Elon musk may misuse power" "MAY" !! Proceeds to misuse her power to libel everyoneshe hates

"Elon Musk knows Tesla is in trouble and he obviously needs India to turn Tesla's fortune around.." - Palki
  • @ernestadonu9110
The idea of asking should one one control internet connectivity is not appropriate at all.
  • @chimiwangdi6732
Palki was so exicited on receiving Elon to India but when he chose China instead, she got bitchy (for lack of a better word)
  • @user-ns6kv7mk3m
Fully agree. Why one man should have all Internet power in his hands . Govts needs to be very careful dealing with him
  • Palki, It doesn’t matter how much you criticize him, we people love him and certainly trust him
  • This is because China has been considering beginning electric car manufacturing in Sri Lanka recently. Musk wants to access the cheap labour market + Strategic ports there which allows for easy distribution to both east and west via sea route. China too has the same goal.
  • @TedrosAdhanom.
Legend has it that Modi is still waiting patiently at the airport for Elon Musk 😂
