People walked around in the desert when it was 130°F and died? Color me surprised.

Saudi Arabia is one of the richest countries in the world that also makes enormous profits off of the religious pilgrimage. Saudis could have easily brought in fire trucks , water sprayers , and mass cooling stations - yet nothing like this appears to have been done to help the pilgrims. Why not ? Very sad..and totally preventable deaths.

There’s been many times when crowd crush has killed hundreds during this pilgrimage too.
