Shannon was the reason I watched Undisputed. He was the one that brought creditability to it. I'm so happy Shannon found a new home on ESPN! He deserves credit for how he handled the situation.

This interview brought tears to my eyes. As a black man, I understand all of this. Stephen A., Shannon, you have no idea of how proud I am of you two.

I loved that Stephen let Shannon talk when he asked questions! It felt like he was having a monologue with himself when he was expressing. Loved this.
  • I can tell Shannon's grandmother had a lot of wisdom and he loved her dearly.

Shannon talking about his brother is so inspiring... You can't love someone any better than that. 😢

The closure we needed to hear from Shannon and the amount of respect I have for him quadrupled. Really gave us an eye opener and understanding life in FS1 and His relationship with skip. Shannon done made it look on television for 6yrs and a half like him and skip were Best friends only to hear it was all work related and no friendship outside of work. Dam. Glad he is in a better place now.

I enjoy hearing Shannon articulate his love and admiration for his big brother Sterling. So pure and humbling. He gives him his flowers every chance he gets.
  • Refuse to be a slave to loyalty because people have done things for you. What a powerful statement. Blessings Shannon.
  • This interview right here was absolutely eye opening. Both men were great, SAS and Shannon a great pairing. I never realized how down to earth, compassionate, and giving Shannon was. You can see the hurt that he felt at being disrespected. Bless you Shannon.

Amen Shannon! "I refuse to be a SLAVE to loyalty!!" I totally understand that statement!!

Stephen A came with all the tough questions, all in his journalist bag. This was amazing.

As an avid watcher…Stephen A Smith brought his A Game as a journalist today. A complete masterclass. The way he pivoted and placed the questions. He’s a legend in the game.
  • The way Shannon goes from the interviewer to the person being interviewed is some elite transitional skills. Top tier!!
  • @Mambacit0
I learned a lot from this interview. Not just journalism, sports, or the drama that happened, but more so, life skills/advice. Thank you two, what a great interview.
  • Such an amazing interview. I appreciate the difficult questions and the way Shannon went about responding. I think a lot of us act like Skip and Shannon: Undisputed didn't work. It did, they were on the air for 7 years! That's a long time and bringing it to an end and moving on can be a necessary thing. It's unfortunate how it ended, but it was a very successful show. Now we have Shannon with Steven A. and it's great and it's refreshing for everyone and that's not a bad thing.

The way that Steven A and Shannon hold themselves and articulate on things makes me want them to be even greater than they already are. Both of these guys are the best of the best. I enjoy hearing everything they have to say. Nobody makes having fun but being relatable and intelligent look so easy.
  • Stephen A Smith killed it when he said "you do realize that in that lengthy answer you did not say Skip Bayless, one time". Steve got the truth out, and the truth shall set you free.
