I wish someone had taught me this years ago. Superbly demonstrated.

Good job getting that started doesn't look easy. I love the sound of all the critters this time of year. I wonder if Bigfoot is back there watching you. Hehe😂
  • Nice tip about the string im going to try that. Also your the only one iv seen with a south American machete in some time. They are like mora they catch alot of crap. They are good for the money and i like them both.

Learning spindle primitive fire starting is the pinnacle of fire starting survival skill. Primitive cordage for a bow drill takes too long to make and breaks fairly easily. Primitive Technology, John Plant, makes them faster with a spindle than most people can make them with a lighter.

Is nobody going to mention that he literally picked up a freshly burned out piece of coal? 3:00 Yeah, I'm nobody, and I am going to mention that Because its badass
  • I got the same machete, that thing was on many adventures, still have it but upgraded to a military Ontario cause it has a sheath, trust me i know man, you get a fire going and it goes right back out lol, but I cheat and use lighters, I can understand the frustration manually making that flame, I’ll have to try this, i normally carry dryer lint and candle wax, also birch wood
