Fantastic idea for a Sunday father son/daughter project

This reminds me of how Kyudo bows are made, though very different! (The use of many bamboo pieces is what reminded me.) Cool!

I am actually very impressed with the "tiller" of the bow, really cool to see it achieve a bend that even only by staggering the bamboo.

Omg, camping skewer! I never knew they existed and so dirt cheap. Not ideal but still functional!

👍 Reminds me of my earliest attempts just a few years ago, the triple shafted arrows look like they would be good for fishing. Currently chopping and rasping 3 hazel bows, it was 4 two days ago, I'll be happy if 1 survives for shooting.

First time seeing bundle arrows. Cool. I made several bundle bows dried from field gathered bamboo. Only 5-10% of wild gathered bamboo sticks are bow grade material.
  • I love how you just jumped into it with some River cane and duct tape and came out with an amazing bundle bow! I wish there was just a little bit more when they came to measurements but you know what compared to all the other videos that I've seen on YouTube on bundle bows this is gold bro solid gold!
  • I recommend wrapping the tail that will wrap around the loop one extra time around the string, I think it’s called a japanese bow string knot or something similar. That extra wrap really helps avoid the knot slipping

hello there! ive been watching your videos for a long time.. thought i should try crafting a pvc bow XD... ive ordered a heat gun which heats up to 700C. wanted to know if it is good enough? also it was hard to find the right type of pvc for the bow where i live.. but i found that cpvc have similar properties.. so can i use cpvc instead of pvc?

How long are the pieces before you start bundling them? At my hardware store theyre 6ft long. Do i just cut them in half and try to stagger them to get a 6 foot bow?
