For a guy missing part of his soul, that was a beautiful blessing from Brok
  • Kratos, who in previous iterations had said he would bow to no one, bows to a humble blacksmith.
  • @Kurorito
"May this weapon strike true May it be wielded with wisdom May it be put down when its job is done" Shivers down the spine

"It needs a blessing..." - Kratos, stop being a douche!!!! "It needs a blessing of a great blacksmith" - ohhhhh, my heart.
  • Man. Sindri and Brok made this game amazing. When Brok died, Sindri changed. I don't blame him, but like Brok says. Sindri does need to let go. Hopefully, he returns and recovers in God of War 6.

Playing the first 3 games, you noticed Kratos refused to bow himself to any God. Even when speaking to Zeus and Athena he remained standing tall, yet here he chose to bow down to Brok. Much like Faye, Brok was 'more than a God'.

That blessing really showed how much he knew Kratos. The spear was never a weapon for a warrior, it was a weapon of need for someone who wanted to leave war behind, and so he blessed it as a weapon to be put away when there was no more need

Man... Despite Brok's "colourful" profane and choice of words, his actions was always so... -kind, gentle, and endearing... Even back in GOW4, when Kratos was going to Helheim, Brok was willing to go with him and help. Brok would gain NOTHING from that. Risking his life to Helheim and going to a VERY cold realm. Brok could also tricked Kratos and steals the Blades of Chaos but no. Brok truly wants to help. Despite missing a part of a soul, his big heart really makes up a lot of what he does not have... I respect Brok ever since but then... Things changed. Pouring out for you, Brok. Even if you are just a video game character. Doesn't change the fact, you made me feel something more alive than most of my own lone self.

I want a DLC quest of finding Brok's last soul part to give Sindri the closure that he needs. He didn't deserve any of that.
  • @Memehuskie
Kratos did a nice thing for brok, he bow down and wanted a blessing from the best blacksmith he knows.
  • @pustulio81
I love how Kratos' method of comforting him was to, essentially, revere him as someone with unmatched skill by kneeling before him and asking for his blessing. It's a way of saying "I needed her to make it, but, only YOU can finish it"
  • Ngl I choked when Kratos bowed down to Brok to receive the blessing. There's no greater honor.

That exchange between Kratos and Brok was incredible. To think this is the same Kratos from the original series that had literally no respect for anyone that wasn’t of Sparta. Best character development in gaming history imo
  • What's sad, is kratos never got to tell brok how he got his blade of chaos and who forged it for him..
  • He may be a massive stone cold god killer But Kratos can be a real sweetheart when he needs to be
  • I really like the spear. As soon as I got the spear, I decided to use it as my main weapon of choice. Not because it feels nice to use, but to honor Brok. I'm gonna miss Brok and Sindri, those guys were my favorite blacksmiths.

for those wondering why kratos or sindri didn’t go to the lake of souls when brok died he died with a part of his soul missing so he gets no after life or anything
  • It's a beautiful thing that Kratos went from calling him the blue one to now calling him Brok
