I read that the ancient Macedonians were the first to use artificial lures made of feathers to catch fish, so fly fishing goes WAY back. Love the videos, learn something new everytime I watch them...or re-watch them! Cheers!

Great explanation! Although I think it's better to put a mosquito net into the current to see what the trout are probably eating than picking out a rock from the bottom of the river. Most insects expend one to three years as larvae and only go the way to the surface one day in their life.
