I was in downtown yesterday and saw how they were battling this fire. I love the history of this building and how it was built by parishioners.
-
I find it strange, news saying, church needs to provide security, church needs to put up barriers and determination in 24 hours if the structure is sound! Strange putting all that pressure on the church after suffering a fire!
-
If this turns out to be a "Real Estate Scandal" of some kind I'll be utterly disgusted !
-
Oh gee, Notre-Dome fire anyone?
-
I was there yesterday and saw it go up while picking up my wife from love feild.

My husband and I worked at the church...he with the college department and me teaching at the Academy. We were there during Dr. Criswell's tenure. It is shocking to see this and very sad!

Okay… as a Dallas native all this looks like a on purpose event. To rebuild.

I am devastated 💔

🤨 so there is a fire so massive that it took 100 fire fighters to put it out but yet anyone around that area didn't even notice a slight inch of smoke before it got worse? 😑 I don't think so, I mean I could be wrong but if yall be driving by im not so sure thats accident worthy lol. I think that's done on purpose. But like I said I could be wrong. I mean the church is really close to other buildings so im just saying but ya whatever just guessing.

Hopefully, they can determine the cause. Initially it looks suspicious.
-
Gee, I don't remember hearing of other building fires in which the owner was required to provide security or a structure report within 24 hours. 🤔
-
Oh no! I went there some when I lived in Dallas. 😢
-
Undetermined...truth wont be revealed until the eternal judgement. $$$$$$

The fire department should bill the church for time spent. Churches don't pay property taxes, and that's how fire departments are funded.

Did their insurance policy overheat?
