Would be nice to be able to wear the old dress to the ceremony and the new dress to the reception. She looked absolutely beautiful in both.

she looked stunning in both, and although her mom wanted her to pick the borrowed dress I love how supportive she was of carly’s decision ❤
  • I can't believe how beautiful the remade 80's dress was, I was literally speechless. I hope she changes her mind. She looked like she stepped off a movie screen.
  • The naivety of youth : “this is the hardest decision I’ll ever have to make.” Bless her.
  • I would wear her mom's dress for the ceremony and the new dress at the reception.

That redesigned dress is the prettiest I've seen on the show and I watch ... a lot! congrats to the designer.. beautiful style
  • The repurposed gown looked absolutely gorgeous; one of the best dresses I've seen on the show ever! It looked better on her than the gown she chose.

she describes her mum as overbearing. It's not about the dress design at this point, it's about her wanting something new of her own. Making her own decision.
  • My hubs and I were married in the 80s. (Still married—40yrs) I’m so happy the mother and daughter could get the dress they each loved. May the new couple find health, happiness, and long years.

When the bride picks the new dress, I always wonder what they do with the "borrowed" dress.

Her mother is so gracious and also hilarious. I feel like she's a little disappointed but she also fiercely loves her daughter and wants to support her. She wasn't about to make her feel guilty for picking something she truly loved . Young lady is beautiful and both the dresses
  • Not a hard decision in my opinion. The “borrowed” dress….. the remake of her mother’s dress…… is absolutely Stunning! And it has what no other bridal gown has…… sentimental value. First…. It’s a custom original Second….. it’s her moms dress….. which her grandmother purchased. That’s a win, win, win…… in my opinion. Love it❣️
  • I loved the re-imagined 80s dress because it was different, and I thought it incorporated new elements on the design, too. The sentimental value was big for me. I liked the first dress but it wasn't unusual. The bride buy both - wear one at wedding and the other the reception.

The finished borrowed dress was really stunning! I loved how many different elements were there and yet it was still all pulled together so neatly and uniquely. I would've loved to try it on myself!
  • I preferred the borrowed dress too. Custom made AND with sentimental value. The new dress looks good on her too, but it was pretty basic. And can we take a moment to appreciate that mom? I mean, it must have been soul-crushing to have your daughter pick something else, but she was still so supportive and lovely.
  • The borrowed dress was GORGEOUS on her. I am disappointed she chose the new one 🥺.
  • This will not be the hardest decision you will ever have to make. She looks beautiful and I am sure it was a hard decision. Many blessings to you and your husband.
