While I'm not doing sales on this portable (too fragile, too hot), you can check my website for up-to-date info on what portables I'm selling. This will have the most current info on commissions, as well as any portables I've got available for immediate sale: www.gingerofmods.com/immediate-sales

If you want to watch an hour and a half of raw gameplay of this thing, I've uploaded a Twitch vod of the battery life test here:    • Testing the Battery Life of the Ninte...

This was probably the most fun I’ve had doing a portable and video project, I hope you enjoy it!

The fact that he spent the time to print a 3D loaf of bread just for a 2 second bit is very commendable
  • @ShankMods
You brought the legend to life. Great build, and best video yet. So proud of you dude :)
  • @zoltanstudios
I saw that photo in a magazine when I was twelve and went straight to the store asking for it. The employee stocking the shelves thought I was nuts. Thank you for making this real!
  • @allyouracid
Hey man, just look at it from this side: not only did you create a portable Game Cube, you at the same time built a portable Wii. That's double awesome!
  • @ssscout
i was thinking the original art looks like "The GameCube 720" and then you played bodies by drowning pool
  • @BenjaminJex
I cannot believe that the person who made it was already following you, that’s incredible!!!
  • this needs to be a series. making those fake concepts from that famous video to reality

Imagine if he actually designed it bigger so he could fit the disk reader. I'd buy it.
  • @CodeMonkeyDave
Sir, you've tapped into a gold mine of actually creating, mostly old, rumored "next gen game consoles" from the past, while informing the viewers the entire history and context of said rumored console, also, while showing the viewers how you built it....Sir, you just gained a new subscriber. Great job! Looking forward to more. 👍

For anyone wondering, if you calculate the average of every square centimeter of white plastic bits, and multiply it by the area of the workbench, you get approximately 22573 white plastic bits. I'm awaiting my used Bass Pro Shop gift card eagerly.

2:27 making the man into a prophet just because you wanted to do it, cracks me tf up, dude.
  • @tomjohnson8099
This is really impressive, you rendered your hands and the GameCube so perfectly no one can even tell its fake
  • @ElexysVi
I remember seeing this mockup back in 2005 and thinking how cool that would be. Watching you actually build it so many years later makes me genuinely happy :D
  • @VintageCR
5:56 this design actually looks comfy to hold but i understand you went with a boxier design and built in the end. it fits the "Cube" part of the GameCube very well. im happy someone made an effort to replicate a design from years ago THAT ACTUALLY GAMES!
  • I like how he shows how hard it is to fit everything in a handheld divide. It shows what designers have to deal with.
  • @GalacticDecay
This is impressive, I don't think I could ever do this can't wait for you to make a portable Switch.
  • @macronevicktor
when you realize the original 3d render did not have mouse ears
  • im glad demond’s life turned out well :) thats always something i wonder about when seeing cool stuff like this from years ago
