this HLG "trick" is brill... i have my switch and xbox now in HLG....ok, so it can over saturate a bit but all you need to do is lower colour a touch and lower red saturation a touch...easy peasy...then you have same colour level as SDR but in HLG HDR and a much punchier image..... i agree with you , it looks fantastic....!!...thanks for these videos...

If you have your console connected through a soundbar and you are having the pause menu turn orange, the mini map appear blown out such that you can barely make out roads, etc., and the picture in general look overexposed while seeming to have a dark filter over it, then make sure to turn your console on and allow it to start up BEFORE turning on the soundbar and TV.

HDR can look amazing and it can look trash. So there can absolutely be cases where someone would say they prefer the SDR look because the particular studio just botched the HDR implementation completely. In those cases I can absolutely believe if someone picks SDR over HDR.

That's the way it was meant to look though, the creator makes it to look a certain way, but I agree everyone should do what they want with their TV.

...and it "just so happens" that when I turned on my console, TV and soundbar by that method I described in my last comment, I got the washed out screen, and nothing has stopped it!

For the amount of money these tvs cost we shouldn't have to deal with all these issues just to get a good picture

This is one problem I have with TV's getting super bright is that washed out colors do often happen. That's one reason I like OLED TV'S the way they were before everyone saying they are too dim. Now everyone wants OLEDS to be as bright as LED TV's and I don't think it's necessary. I watch OLED in a dark or dimly lit room and it's plenty bright enough for me. Listen this is just my humble opinion and feeling about super bright TV's.

I wish my S95B had HLG. The HDR has great moments but it's far from perfect, still has plenty issues and that is per Digital Foundry. The night is way too bright in the game, unless you start lowering TV brightness, which should not be necessary.

Has another problem only runs 30fps on series x wish they would give it the 60fps patch soon don't wanna buy it again on pc

i would like you to compare this oled with a samsung odyssey neo g7 for hdr in real gameplay.i think that neo g7 have better general hdr and more nits than oled,and the only scenario that loses is only at space scenes where you can not see clear and bright the individual stars.i think for games neo g7 is way better.but as i said a comparison from you would be really appreciated.

So my C1 went crazy and I had to return it. It was flashing a white screen reandomly in games. I ordered from Amazon and they took it back and refunded me. Luckily they didnt see that I accessed the root menu.

idk if itβs just me but i tried SDR with HLG and it looked washed out compared to HDR. i also have a C1 too.

Can a keep my input on HDMI or game console also a like to use the input lag boost but I'm no even sure it makes a difference on this game a would rather have access to motion pro setting's as they come in handy for content locked at 30 the best thing about the Xbox version of Reddaed 2 is I'm sure it's native 4K or at least dynamic looks alot better than the PS image anyway just trying HLG looks alot better think I'll keep this a just unticked the HDR box in my Xbox settings

For me this game just looks.... meh. Boring. Despite the incredibly detailed and lifelike environments. I will see if HLG has the power to make me change my mind about this game. And I think it does, because every game I play now with HLG looks much, much better even compared to HDR10, which is broken in this game.

Do a really need to edit my input for console version it's causing most of my settings to be greyed out so a can't use black frame still slightly juger due to the game locked at 30fps or change my colour from auto any tips

Also HLG is not HDR 10 so colors are not BT2020. I think.

Hello bro new sub, I bought lg c2 I wanted to get the best graphic out of the TV. I changed some setting but now the graphic washed out... Every game looks awful..

Tu ere una personal muy inteligetes le salga provecho a los componetes y eso es bueno yo algo los mismo.yo tuver que apredes dale valor alas todo porque no tengo presupuesto y tuve que apreder a mejora el tv yo mismo y dale valor alas cosa economica salgale mas y eso es bueno.
