I'm curious to hear—what seasonings do you add to your homemade chicken noodle soup?
  • @donnaa7720
So Delish! It's so true time flies when your babies are little. My boys are now 35,29,27. It's like yesterday, miss those sweet days. But no matter how old they will always be my babies 💕

I always cook my noodles for chicken noodle soup SEPARATELY and add noodles to the bowls of chicken soup because if you store it overnight, the next day the noodles will soak up the soup and you will have chicken noodles with a little bit of soup left. Paula, I know your chicken noodle soup is far better than ChikfilA because you put LOVE in your cooking!

I'm definitely making this for my daughter and her husband. She works the emergency room and so much Covid! Alot to be said for healthy chicken soup. Thank you Paula. God bless you.
  • It is been proven through studies on how chicken noodle soup really helps one recover from a cold. It's the best thing. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I have been making this a lot lately.

When choosing your noodles for this soup, buy the frozen Reams egg noodles. They are thick and are perfect for a homemade soup like this and not likely to swell like egg noodles do soaking up broth overnight. The next morning the broth is still there with Reames. Best noodle ever for soups!!!

Paula, my name is Derrek Cooke from Newburgh, NY and I would like to share a recipe my Grandmother used to make called Dutch Chicken Pot Pie. The ingredients are one whole chicken (frying chicken) cut into pieces, four to five red potatoes, and a package of Pennsylvania Dutch egg noodles (they are square shaped; but if you can't find these you can use regular egg noodles). The directions are as follows: Put pieces of chicken into a large pot and cover the chicken with water. Bring almost to a boil and then turn heat down to a simmer. Simmer for one hour and thirty minutes. Take chicken pieces of out the pot with a slotted spoon and put the pieces into a bowl and let cool. Peel and cut potatoes and then put the potatoes into the broth. Bring to a boil and then turn down the heat. Before 30 minutes check potatoes and add the noodles. Take chicken meat off the bone and cut into bite size pieces. Add the pieces back into the pot. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

I love chicken soup any time of the year, and I can eat it for 3 meals a day, that's how much I love it! One time, I found a little piece of leftover ginger in my vegetable bin, so I shredded it in the soup, and it added a little bit of zest to the flavor. Delicious!

Good day to have soup today. Wind chill in the teens in PA.
  • A great recipe for today's weather that we are supposed to be getting. It sounds so good. There is nothing better than good soup when they are calling for bad weather. Thank you for sharing.

I’ve made your chicken noodle soup twice just this week…the first time was for 2 of my sons who’ve been sick…the second time was for me & my husband because it looked so scrumptious…tonight we eat it along with the English muffin bread…yummy!! Thank you for all your delicious & simple recipes!
  • Thank you for sharing this recipe with us. Nothing like chicken noodle soup on a cold day. It looks delicious.

  • @TUNITMOM
Looks Amazing! I never added harvy cream or butter,,,,but I will try it this weekend. You can never have too many noodles in the soup. My grandma would always ask if I needed more soup added to my noodles. Something about homemade fresh soup cooking on the stove make the world a better place.
  • @kayrackley4698
