I moved in to an HOA. Two women on the street stopped me walking my dog to introduce themselves as nearby neighbors. They warned me about the Indians down at the end of the cul de sac, that they "BBQ in their front yard making smells" and "have weird parties." I ended up meeting the wife in the Indian house while she was walking her own dog, then later on I met the husband. The husband works at JPL in Pasadena as an engineer, he drives a Tesla model S. The wife is a food importer. They have groovy parties, last one was something about Ganesha, a god of theirs. Amazing party. Oh and they BBQ shrimp. So delicious. I introduced them to other grilling dishes. It's very fun. They have been expanding my culinary horizons about vegetables. Their culture is fascinating and thousands of years old. The husband is a genius and everyone just shuts up and listens when he speaks, because he is interesting as hell. Most people really just are sad people who don't realize that being friendly and kind is super fun, and gets you invited to groovy parties.
