I forgot that toph had such a sad life before the gaang. The fact that she was polished to be a perfect daughter, plus how her parents didnt see her potential in things like being independent, and hid her existence by isolating her from the outside, its alot. Her and mai have that in common tbh. They both were born in high class families, brought up to be good daughters and controlled or told to follow a certain image and rules. I loved that mai and toph came out with different personalities yet still are logical,blunt and laid back.

Its funny how the phrase "That's how it's done" triggered her so hard...'specially since she says exactly that after finishing off the firebenders in the airship.

It makes me really sad to think about Aang and others dying after we all basically watched them grow up. Like, I teared up when Toph called Korra twinkle toes because of her friend. I wish they made another series with the original characters still together going through another adventure as young adults

The only thing he didn't mention about Toph is that she also at some point after creating metalbending (I believe), she learned how to sandbend and that is what truly made her the greatest earth bender as she learned to earthbend from the original earthbenders, created metalbending and learned to sandbender all while blind from birth... impressive doesn't even come close to covering how amazing Toph is and that's why they only made her lose twice in her lifetime...they had to make her human somehow.🤷🏾‍♂️
