My Little Reviews: Equestria Games

I think of it this way: Spike is us. We're 'normal' surrounded in this world with Hero's and wants badly to be a likable, noticed characters in life. It's actually very relatable.

When Spike started singing I skipped it with the dvr. I don't think I will ever be able to watch that painful moment.

i can't wait to see what you'll say about the season finale; especially concerning discord's arc in it.  I'm rather curious to see what you'll say about it, as i can literally imagine you going either way with it.

This is the most entertaining review for the episode I saw.

Good review, and surprisingly really good Spike episode.

I'd like to see Spike get fed up with everypony using him and have him turn evil and then become a main villain! But noooooo that can't happen! It has to be like this; good guy goes bad guy, other good guy turns bad guy back to good guy and tells us the moral of the story. >:(

I agree KP, they definately hit a major point when it came to Spike as a moral example for anybody's life. There's few character defects we give the least credit to than pride. It's alot more dangerous than we in our culture give it credit for, and like C. S. Lewis put it, we don't have as much a reaction to pride as opposed to lust because it has little effect that can be seen. When we grow in any area of our lives the highest risk is it going to our heads. Spike saved the crystal empire! A wonderful thing that made him a hero and opened doors for new oppertunities to save lives and be an example to others in any of the aspect of a true friend. But it went to his head and ended up making a fool of himself trying to uphold his self image. It's the number 1 thing we have to watch out for when reaching for higher goals. Can we go places where our character can support us. That's why they call it growing up. Accomplishment is one thing, Maintaining character is another. Like Jesus said in Luke 14:11 "For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Spike became a hero when he saved the games as a servant, it was the least he could do. Spike became an idiot when he looked for oppertunities to maintain his reputation. It's a choice we make everyday.

Kim, please get the finale review up soon. I just want to see how much you probably loved it.

I really like KPs reveiws. They're short, to the point, and have funny little references here and there. I think out of all of the analysis out there, she's my favorite :3

I can't wait to see you review episode 25 and 26!
