Regarding the use of the term aboriginal to describe Silver Fox, I was using it interchangeably with the word indigenous. The term has been applied to natives in Canada in the past, but I admit it was a poor choice of words, as people more often associate the word aboriginal with Native Australians. In this case, because she is an Indigenous Canadian, the term First Nations would have been more appropriate. I apologize for any confusion or offense this may have caused.

I can't imagine the amount of leg work this took, tracking down the comics, reading all the stories and putting it in chronological order. Good stuff.

Wolverine has been and will always be my favorite comic book character. He, to me, is the pseudo-protagonist of Marvel. He’s been through so much, experienced so much pain, and yet still he fights, harder than before

Wolverine is probably the comic character I've always felt the most sympathy for. I can't really think of a character with a more tragic story right down to the fact that even though he has a strong healing factor he still has to feel everything.
  • “In his iconic yellow costume, he began doing covert missions” 🤣
  • It would have been so much simpler to make Sabertooth his half brother. That's one thing X-MEN Origins Wolverine got right. The Romulus stuff was just annoying and riddled with contrivances.

Logan’s story is as important to Marvels as Peter Parker’s, Tony Starks or Steve Rogers. His history is a lot of these characters history

It's fun seeing the different art styles from over the years. You can definitely tell how old some of these stories are.

Mind Blowing! I always wondered why Sabretooth hated Wolverine so much
  • @robkenner5456
The early years of Wolverine have always been convoluted. Thanks for mapping it out in this narrative. You should do one focusing on Team X!

As Wolverine is my favorite X-Man, The movie Wolverine: Origins pissed me right off.
  • Damn, Wolvie has really been there and done that, no matter what you ask haha
  • @whiterabbit3515
Comic = Wolverine is Canadian... Movie = Wolverine is born up north somewhere but essentially American. This was fantastic. Thank you!
  • @AdventVFX
Wolverine is up there with Batman and Spider-man to me, I have so much respect for the character
  • @d_i_c_t_a
wolverine is hands down one of the best marvel characters ever! absolutely love all the complexity that comes with him, and nonetheless ALL the mutants universe
  • I have most of those comics in that run thank you for summing it up and putting it in order this was very good I am a lifelong wolverine fan and this is the most thorough and accurate origin I have ever heard thanks dude
  • @thealmightyra
The main thing i got from this is Natasha Romanoff is a much older character than i realized
  • @KelticTim
There should be a sub title: Until Marvel needs to change it again.

My childhood superhero. I love the Wolverine story until the mid 90s. To be exact until X-Men: "Fatal Attractions". The mystery of Logan's past was so cool back then, not so mixed up. He met and fought alongside Captain America in WW2 when he was in his 20s. He worked for the CiA in the 1960s with Victor Creed and Maverick to stop the completion of Omega Red. There they found out that they were mutants too when the much bigger, Victor, grabbed both Logan and Maverick and jumped off a ten story building to escape the life force sucking mutant Russian super soldier. After the failed mission, Logan attacked Victor for killing their double agent, Janice, whom Logan love. Victor felt so betrayed by Logan after he had saved Logan in the mission. Best buddies turned bitter enemies. Logan left the CIA after that. Then the Silver Fox murder. Then Logan was kidnapped for the Weapon X project.
