I’ve never seen more public outcry over a cliffhanger before. This movie is art

I didn't notice in the theater how Miles' face changes from shock to calming himself down to facing 42 Miles' intimidation with a confident face after he electrifies the chain to his mouth starting to curl into a smirk before it cuts back to Gwen at the end. Shows how confident he's grown about himself and what he's capable of especially since he watched Peter get out of this exact same situation in the first movie. Such good subtle character animation in this movie

Peter B Parker always said: don’t watch the mouth , watch the hands

5:04 I absolutely LOVE the change in his look from "scared" to "You wanna play bro? Let's play."

This has got to be the BEST cliffhanger I've ever seen, the music, animation, voice acting, build-up, writing, everything! If this doesn't impress you IDK what will
  • will never forget the absolute roller coaster of emotions this had me on when i saw this in the cinema. the btsv hype is real

4:56 Pav jumping in first shows how much he's grateful to Miles. Also Margo agreeing to this after knowing Miles for like 2 minutes is cool

The ending, in theaters left me into a cliffhanger that i was blown away

I like how this movie gives us like an Empire Strikes Back ending. Leaving us with tons of questions left unanswered and saving all the answers for the third movie. It’s basically an ending that’s actually not an ending at all.

Not even kidding, 1:48 absolutely took my breath away in theaters. I legit thought that Aaron beat his head instead of the punching bag when I first saw that scene lmfao

The shot of Gwen looking back beginning at 4:44, for me, will be her most iconic still/frame of this entire franchise. Going from "couldn't find the right band to join" to "i built my own", full of confidence and undeterred on the goal.

The music, the animation, the tension and voice acting. Everything is so perfect here in watching everything build up. Beyond is going to be incredible.

I love how they trapped Miles just like he did with Peter B., as they basically the same person

Rewatching this now, I didn't notice how Earth 42 had a different "art-style" as each universe had it's own color palette, way of shading, and line art. Miles 42 (let's call him Wiles) had darker, grungier colors that feel dangerous, like the red we saw outside the window of Aaron's apartment and that green we saw while Miles was running through the city. The close ups on both Miles's and Wiles's faces had different line art and shading too, with Miles have his half-tones and colored line art and Wiles having that comic-classic ink hatching. The hatching was on Uncle Aaron's face too when his eyes were not visible which also makes him look scary while leaning into that universe's "look". This offers the viewer to have the impression that this Earth 42 is less kindly and way more intense, especially without there being other colors for those accents to soften up. TLDR: Different universes = different styles and it's especially noticeable in this clip.. much kudos to the animators/people who decided to do this, very effective. Amazing movie!!

The soundtrack for this ending scene is so epic. Remixing the original prowler theme just a bit then Ofc remixing Gwen’s theme into as well. Can’t wait for beyond the spider verse
