  • I have never come close to the grief and heartbreak over ANY situation in life than I experienced when my beloved baby of 19 years died in my arms from old age. I held her. I spoke to her. I kissed her nose and forehead and stroked her. I cried and at times wailed. I may move past it at some point, but I will never, ever get over her not being with me. Sleeping with me. Playing with me. Drinking water out of the sink faucet. I can't even bring myself to wash the sheets she laid on or the blanket I put around her to keep her warm. When she left this world, she took an unimaginable part of my heart with her.

I lost my boy 1 month ago, and we shared a pillow for 15 years. I miss him so much, and I still have a hard time sleeping without him.

I love reading these comments. People who aren’t ‘cat people’ just don’t understand the bond. Love our kitties!

My cat sleeps with his head on my shoulder. I’ve had him for 14 years. My cat snores gently. I find it soothing.

I was born with infancy arthritis, when the pain gets too unbearable one of my cats will sit right on the spot and stay until her heat helps relieve the pain. She does it every single time. As soon as the pain leaves she moves somewhere else to sleep.

My cat, Nirvana, slept between my legs every night. She passed at the age of 22. That was 10 years ago, and I still miss her. She was my daughter and my best friend. I have waited all this time to raise another one. I think it's time.

my kitty was part of a small feral colony i trapped/fixed and then released or re-homed. it took approximately 4+yrs for her to allow me to pet her with both hands. she’s now about 6 and a few months ago started sleeping on my pillow facing me, with her paws on my cheeks. first time it happened i cried a bit. it’s taken so much patience and work from us both. i value the trust she has in me.

Cat’s sleeping near you or sitting next to you is such a comfort! Sheer heaven. Love your cat it’s so worth it!

My cats come to say goodnight. They just check and snuggle then go sleep in another room. Love this night routine.

It may hard to think you could love a cat or an animal as much as you end up doing, but once you do, both are buddies for life--and that life together is wonderful.

My one month year old kitten loves sleeping on my chest and when I start to pet her while she goes to sleep she gives me the loudest purrs out there! I love it, never owned a cat, always dogs! ❤️

Cats are the sweetest, best companions. Love them all.

My husband has a theory he calls “ The Photoelasticity of cats.” It means that the cats get much larger in the dark. When the lights go on, the cats shrink back to their normal sizes. We usually get 3 or 4 cats sleeping with us and by morning we are nearly falling out of bed, while the cats are scattered all over the bed.
  • Cats are pretty persistent if they want to sleep with you. If you leave them outside your bedroom door you might hear the song of their people all night. They can claw and rip up your carpet trying to get in. If you are sick they do not want to leave your side. Amazing an animal who can make it fine without you preferring your company. It really is a high compliment.

If my cats are not with me at night, I cannot sleep. One sleeps under my arm with this face on my shoulder and the other sleeps on my chest. I am so blessed.

My boy Chase passed a few months ago at age 17..he wouldn't sleep in my bed but would sleep in his bed right next to me on the floor.knowing I wake @ 4am for work he would wake me never fail by tossing my slippers around the room and know on The weekend to be quiet and refrain from the slipper toss...I miss him so much and know I can't replace his larger than life personality but I know eventually I will get a rescue who needs a loving home...RIP CHASE I feel your spirit daily...😻❤️...

With all the cats that have been in my life, the greatest honour is to sleep with my cats. Stimpy my last cat, .He would sleep so close to me under the covers purring away. How special it is to share life with theses amazing creatures

I can’t imagine not having my fur babies sleeping with me! I love to bond with them in any way I can. Just feeling them up against me gives me such comfort. There truly is no greater love than the love one earns from a cat❤

I'm a side sleeper, and my mama cat, Pumpkin, used to sleep curled behind my knees. I miss her, she was a sweetheart. 💖😺

I had a gray tortious shell persion. Most intelligent cat I have ever seen. He did everything with me from crawling under my car to do repairs, on the bathroom sink as I shaved and even stood in the shower to watch me bath. If I called him, he dropped everything to see what I wanted. I wanted his company! When it was bedtime, I would wake up to find him sleeping on my neck, under my chin. Several times, he would wake me by laying on my face. LOL. That was a little smothering. I loved my cat. My cat loved me. It was an incredible experience and relationship. I have never stopped missing Nicholas, my best friend.
