GME in 3 acts Act 1: What is a stock? Act 2: How do I buy and sell a stock? Act 3: Why is the IRS knocking at my door?

You know shit is serious when both US parties agree on something

I love this story so much. I don't even care about all the drama and morality arguments being thrown around, it's just that the image of a giant wall-street hedgefund being unceremoniously kicked in the arse by a reddit sub is the funniest thing I have ever seen. It's like you have a dude walking down a sidewalk, just chilling, until he steps on an ant. But instead of just dying instantly, the ant grabs the man's shoe, turns him upside down, and then repeatedly slams his face into the concrete.

And to this day, I still don't understand how stocks fucking work.

Seriously, take a second to reel in DFV'S situation. Imagine being in a situation with tens of thousands of dollars on a plummeting investment, having everyone tell you you're wrong, and proceeding to becoming a literal multi-millionaire. DFV is a man of focus. Commitment. Sheer fucking will. I haven't followed up on his legal situation, but hope he does alright.

Interviewer: "You sell physical game copies and you still somehow exist?" GameStop: "It's complicated."

Stock market: it’s a free market Also stock market: it’s not fair!!!

I love how they called out DPV by asking if he'd buy at the current $40ish price and he said LIVE that he would. Next day adds 40k shares, makes 10 million, laughs

I remember pretending to be a hedge fund manager on a WSB subreddit at the peak of GME. Top tier trolling.

Deep fucking value is the personification of "hold it... hold it... HOLD IT..."
-
I'm absolutely stoked that Reddit r/WSB actually adopted thousands of actual gorillas
