The more I think about it the PlayStation Portal is a strange device. I am sure its great for enthusiasts but its lack of features and functions make it seem like less of a MUST BUY. Why Spend $200 for a device that cannot play games on the go easily. In a world of Steam Decks and Rog Ally's, does the PlayStation Portal have a place or is it a modern version of the WiiU with extra Steps?

The portal would have been a slam dunk if they allowed you to play ps4 games natively, and then keep the remote play for ps5.

Don’t know why you would get this when you can do it on your phone or tablet at the same time. Would not be surprised if they shut them down to try to upsell this device

It does exactly what sony said it would, they didnt try and tell you it would do a bunch of stuff and then let you down when it finally came out. I love mine!

All console companies don't want their tech hacked so make a accessory. Also the handneld market is over loaded so why jump into it again. They have tried twice and both flopped so its no point.

It seems like a useful device actually, especially for people that want to use their ps5 away from the tv/monitor. It is sorta like their way to compete with Switch. Out of all the accessories they released, this seems like the best one to me. It’s sleek and cool looking, and price point is reasonable.

This device, those two $200 headsets you mentioned and the new ps5 “slim” with the overpriced detachable Optical drive… is definitely convincing me that Sony is beginning to cash grab. Who’s ideas are these? 😭
