They had no idea what was about to happen…

⛑️ Check out this video about another tourist activity that went wrong ⛑️    • FATAL ERROR: Hang Gliding Pilot Makes...

Horizontal Falls is an amazing natural wonder where water rushes through two narrow gorges. High speed tourist boats travel through the falls for an exhilarating ride. But! These are also croc and box jellyfish(deadliest jellyfish) infested waters. And last year a boat carrying 26 tourists hit a rock wall and capsized. Here’s their story.

Be respectful in the comments otherwise your comments will promptly end up in the swirling croc and jellyfish infested waters of Horizontal Falls!

Excellent coverage. I live in WA and it's pretty clear to me that this was covered up. The initial reporting was very vague but I quickly worked out it was an impact against the rock wall. But since then there has been nothing. zip. No footage from the passengers, nothing. look at how many passengers have cameras going in the other footage, but no personal footage POV either from the event, or the rescue, or the triage, or the evacuation, has come on the internet / social media from that event since then. They've all been paid off and signed non-disclosures I reckon.

"He hasn't been kicked out of the skipperhood" 😂😂😂😂😂 I laughed so hard. I love your humor!!

Can't give enough praise to the RFDS and the EMS they work with, personally owe 19 years of life to the work they do.
  • I have been there done that about 13 years ago I am 64 now, I was terrified going through the falls and couldn't wait to get back to the the floating pontoon, I enjoyed the adventure but wouldn't do it again lol 😂

I love how amused you can be by things despite the seemingly serious nature of your content. My kinda sense of humour. I am a huge fan of your style.

Hi from Queensland Australia. We have been through the Horizontal Falls by boat and flew into the area in a sea plane. It was an extremely enjoyable trip.

Your delight at those Aussie names for things made me laugh. And heck yeah, I'd go on that tour! It's safer than any backcountry hike I've done.

15 seconds in and all I can think is “absolutely not.” I am clearly not disposed to extreme activities since everything about this screams hell nah.

The RFD are so essential in Australia, they are national heroes to all of us here. Thanks for your channel, love your story telling.

Treacherous currents, deadly wildlife, remote location, questionable tour provider: what could go wrong ?
  • @Nannygoat
Yes l would pay $1000 to tour that beautiful part of the world. Whew what an amazing adventure and amazing nobody got thrown in the water!

I'm a bit of a news hound and I live in Australia, but this is the first time I have heard of this incident. One of these days I'll get back over to the west but I don't think I'll be buying a ticket to see the falls. I think I've seen enough documentaries and adventure shows that feature the falls that I don't think I need to actually 'see' them to appreciate them. Oh, and I've subbed so I can check out more of your content. Cheers from the east coast of Australia.

Another great video, and truly unusual. The information on that part of Australia was really interesting. As for the accident, It’s amazing that no one drowned or died from their injuries!

Crocodiles don’t “infest” waters; they live there! We’re the intruders! Thank you for this awesome channel!!!!

We did the Horizontal falls as a family when we did a lap around Australia with caravan in 2007. Stayed on a houseboat overnight near the falls after being flown in on an old but rugged De Havilland Beaver float plane. The boat we used to go through the falls was a jet boat (similar to what they use in New Zealand at the Shotover river), but we did also see the larger boats featured here doing the falls too. This trip was certainly the most expensive thing we did when travelling around Australia but was worth every single penny.

Unless you have lived in Australia, you can have no idea how huge and just plain bloody empty it is. But the beauty is unsurpassed.

The RFDS is not only for outback but also for far away places like Esperance, Manjimup..Mt Magnet etc...I brought many to the plane night and days while being part of the St John ambulance service..
