I can't believe The Carpenters aren't on this list. Their harmonies are gorgeous, especially We've Only Just Begun.
  • @LoriliiJacobsen
Crosby, Stills & Nash’s harmonies give me chills, even after all these years.
  • @jacklow9611
In my opinion, all of Abba's songs had perfect harmonies when Agneta and Anafrid were singing together with Bjorn and Benny singing along.
  • @tamarahicks1377
I would have expected the Bee Gees to have a spot in this line up!
  • @ddc7668
BIG names missing 😮Carpenters, Queen, Bee Gees, Four Seasons, The Seekers

The Everly Brothers harmonies are so heavenly, nobody did it better. Their songs sounded great in the 50's and still sound great today, their music is timeless.

Way too much commentary and not enuf music!

For me, Kansas's "Carry On Wayward Son" is one of the most epic and powerful harmonies ever, more so because it's acapella! Tough to top!
  • How can you forget the lush, complex harmonies of the The Association's "Cherish", "Never My Love", "Along Comes Mary", "Under Branches", & so many more
  • The Seekers. A massively talented Australian 60’s foursome. Harmonies that will put them above everyone mentioned here! Three songs in particular, written by Tom Springfield; A World of Our Own, I’ll Never Find Another You, and Georgie Girl. I’m going to listen to them right now. And you should too!

"Silence is Golden" by the Tremeloes is a great example of harmony.
  • @witolddupa
Singing in harmony is not easy. It takes a lot of work. But when you finally "hit it" it is one of the most incredible feelings.

Queen doesn’t even get a MENTION despite being literally world-renowned for their vocals. Mojo - “Duh, let’s make a list without them or The Bee Gees!”
  • I'm a Gen-Z'er but have always lived for 70's music, my favorite band being ABBA. I realize now that the only common denominator I can find between all of my favorite artists are strong vocal harmonies.
  • I'm surprised something by Earth, Wind, and Fire hasn't been mentioned, like "After the Love Is Gone." Great harmonies. Also, The Lettermen had a great blend of harmonies.
  • @Manticore1956
Moody Blues, "Lovely to See You", when they sing the line "Where empires have turned back to SAND!". I definitely get the voltage up and down the spinal cord when the group harmonizes the word "sand".
  • @anitasirlin9427
Helplessly Hoping by Crosby, Stills,& Nash is even better than Wooden Ships. Pure harmony
  • @jaengen
The Association had exquisite harmonies. “Everything That Touches You” is a perfect example.

It could be the reason so many of these songs are older is there was true talent back in the day.
