Located at an elevation of 1,800 metres amongst the mountain range in central Peninsular Malaysia, Genting Highlands is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. The entertainment complex was established in 1965 by the late Chinese businessman Lim Goh Tong. Over the years, the complex has gained much prominence for its casinos, theme parks, massive hotels and outlet malls.
