My humble opinion, I think no one is going to pay the same price they paid for Eternia for a playset like that. Not because it's not pretty, it's not worth it, the scale doesn't matter. Also, it is not the design we voted for.

Congratulations, Mattel, you really dropped the ball on this one because this is clearly not what we voted for 🎉🎉
  • @PikaStu666
Wish they'd hurry up and do Fright Zone!
  • Unnecessarily big I would say. Doesn’t really look like the concept art either. It would be asking them how they got from the art that people voted on to this. Also why have they made it so big and consequently pricey then. It didn’t need to be eternia sized.

It’s way too big it should have been the size of Greyskull or snake mountain for a couple hundred dollars
  • @rupturefarms21
They definitely could've kept that covered up. 😑
  • @Mighty-VizioN
This thing shouldn't cost no more than Snake mountain or Castle grayskull

Just looks big and clunky. I get that it is a crowd fund, but I don't really like that it is so much bigger than Grayskull and Snake Mountain. Would much rather have had a Fright Zone in this scale.

Well i feel like they really missed the mark with this. 🫤 1.) It's unnecessarily big. They should have kept it in scale with SM and CGS. 2.) It looks almost fan made. Like they just slapped any snake motif laying around on it and made sure it was green, yellow, and brown. 3.) It feels hollow and soulless. There's no through line vision or story feel to it. It's like 4 different guys in separate rooms made there own parts of the set and they just pushed it all together. 4.) Im certain the price point will be unjustified. I would be happy to pay $100- 150ish (tolerated $200+) but i already feel like this is going to be $250-300+. (No way am I paying Eternia prices. That said they are a few cool things but over all it's kind of a big cluster F'. They went too long with the mock image we've grown accustomed to and it's very very different.

The original artwork looked much more in tune with the classic MOTU playset design. This looks alien to me and is an easy skip...
  • As someone who loves the Snake Men, they deserve better. Hopefully this is just a prototype as it looks very rushed and nothing like the concept art which fans voted on. The snake on the side tower doesn't even have belly scales.
  • @akirahojo2
They missed out on the opportunity of having the entrance be the mouth of the snake!
  • I'm sorry but this isn't what won the fan vote. This is completely different
  • @SquatchyToyDad
If this was the design we were originally shown I would not have voted for it.
  • @TheManFrom1979
I think this is a big misstep. An updated Fright Zone (maybe including the Slime Pit) would have been better.

Definitely a pass on this. First problem is it's nothing like the design that was voted for. The second issue is the choice of colors here. I'm not going to say what the base color reminds me of, but it's not good LOL! I mean maybe if they would have went with a more consistent color scheme it would have had more appeal to me. I think the worst part is that I was expecting a gothic/medieval snake themed castle and what they designed was a "Rainbow Snake Playground". I'm sure the price will be just as crazy as the color scheme.
