My Green Spotted Puffer Tank, I have had these guys for about 5 years now.

Shot in September 2016 with my Canon EOS 7D with a 40mm f/2.8 and a 55-250mm IS STM lens attached. Tank is a 55 gallon saltwater tank.

Love the tank!! I got mine in a saltwater tank all by herself. Well with some crabs. She doesn't seem to bother thwm yet

Out of all my pet fish these are my favorites

Am curious, did you start with just 2? - wondering if they usually can get along in a 55,... or are you just lucky? Nice setup! all the arches and tunnels... a Smart puffer tank. (I saw another GSP vid with four 'adults' in a smaller 40 gallon(?) breeder tank... def NOT recommended! - was Amazed that they all ate together, even the smaller ones... 2 were huge!)
  • May i ask? did you buy them from saltwater tanks for did you have to acclimate them because most things say they should only be in brackish water but i really want to keep one in a saltwater tank with other fish but idk if they can even go in saltwater for a long period
  • From what I understand, these have to be acclimated but can also live in fresh and brackish? Because I had mine in a fresh water tank

How many total GSP's do you have in this tank? Looks great!

Mines have dark belly when they sleep and around 5 minutes after waking up they turn white again
  • Is it fine if my green spotted puffer is in a 25 gallon tank, he shows no signs of stress and whenever I go near his tank he always tries to get closer to me like a puppy and I already trained him that when I'm there he knows it's feeding time and he never has a black belly

One of them has a real dark belly which is a bad sign. Is he still alive? I love how the other one swims around the powerhead that is cute.
  • them having black on the bottoms of their bodies is a terrible sign of improper water paramters.... check your shit and get it fixed before you kill these fish
