Like if you too want a research catalog of only Gene facial expressions.
  • I really miss the storm, it gave that kind of adrenaline every time. I wish you guys could bring it back in maybe a hard mode for the game

Those early designs and even things that we dont have now looks kinda cool tbh

The sandstorm was a bit frustrating, had to dig holes around my base to not die But i kinda miss it now, that feeling of "have to move cuz a storm is coming"

This game is visually and thematically very unique. I have been playing since the early days. Thanks and kudos to all the team, past and present, whose work on this game has been so wonderful.

I want to try some of these older versions out they look very cool. Like the first generation that's called ASTRO, kind of like an 8-bit game

I remember getting Astroneer about 1.5 years ago. I was really looking for a game that was interesting and looking around the steam shop/reddit. I stumbled across this little game that had absolutely beautiful music and looked interesting enough. Art really catches me when it comes to a game and the art style and music drew me in (plus the whole theme of the game). So I buy it naturally, i see its in beta/pre launch. I know a lot of those games never see a release date but that was fine by me. I boot up this pretty little game and man i just get HOOKED i mean sucked in immediately and i ended up logging 88 hours that week in Astroneer. I couldn't believe it, really only felt like 20 hours but alas i felt i did all I could. But the development team consistently would pump out updates so i'd start a new game to see what was changed and log some more hours. I easily put in over 100 hours at this point. Astroneer was a pretty little game that really made me feel good as i played it, I hadn't had a game do that in a long time so it was refreshing. Seeing an official release date makes me so utterly happy, and the journey there was great. Whether the developers know it or not their game brought joy to my soull and I will always be grateful for that experience, and remember it. I doubt they or anyone else will ever read this, but I felt the need to share anyways. If you read this far, I hope you had as much fun as I did. EDIT: Of course when the official release comes, i plan to easily put in another 200 hours.

I absolutely loved this video ! So much progression and behind the scenes work that went into this amazing game. I cannot wait until 1.0 and look forward to playing it from now, until it releases and beyond. Great work and keep it up!

This reminds me of halo's development. Started out as basically an entirely different genre with a far out camera but over time the camera came closer and the genre transitioned to something else.

This game is one of the best I’ve ever known. What saddens me the most though is I got it in 2016 and I wasn’t able to see all the stuff before it. Something makes me wish I could go back and see, and it’s just amazing how many changes were put into this. Soon we will all be able to play the full release after the years of work put into this. Thank you, System Era

Whoever put together this video needs a raise. This really got me hyped for the new release. You know what. I take that back. Literally everyone that worked on this game needs a raise.
  • @CaptainJack
Can't wait to play more of this game in 2019! :D

I played once this game five years ago, and I already loved it. I had not heard anything about for all this time, but I saw it accidently on steam... And it was a real rediscovery. From an 10h~15h and impressive adventure at his beginning yet, when it was finally only the core of the game, it became an unnexpectably awesome dream with a high potential of unic flavor and proper mecanics. With no doubt this game could become one of the best I've ever played to.

I literally just found out about this game five minutes ago because of a Covid-19 news article where some ill-informed parent was using an Astroneer costume to protect her kids from corona virus.

Happy Birthday Astroneer. See you in 50 days.
  • @TheHaggardNerd
Oh wow! Thank you for sharing this! I loved seeing all the "behind the scenes" designs. Congrats on the upcoming 1.0 launch. It's been a fun ride. 😀👍

I saw it on steam one day and decided "hey this looks cool" and got it. It was about 1-2 years ago and I still love to play it to this day
