I live in a compound with 7 houses. Almost 10 years ago when I began my spiritual journey and sadhana, tree snakes started appearing around the trees of our compound, sometimes in the drainage system. One day after my practice, I heard one of the house helps from the other homes screaming my name. I live by myself, my house is the first home when you first enter the compound followed by two homes next to mine, and the other four are adjacent to the first three homes which include mine. There is a common area that is used for parking, get togethers, etc which is surrounded by trees. When I rushed outside I heard her yelling "snake, snake" in my language and everyone that was outside at the time ran into their homes. I went back into my house, grabbed a cloth bag that I used to carry my groceries in when I went shopping and went where the snake was seen. Let me add I am the only practicing Hindu in my compound and even in the area I live in. Its mostly Christians/Catholics/7th day adventists etc so when they see snakes, they kill. I immediately went for the snake but calmly, I threw my bag over it's head and grabbed the bag and put the snake into the shopping bag. I went got the keys to the gate while still holding the bag and took the snake into the heavily wooded area behind the compound where there is a river and I released the snake. I was very nervous but I wasn't scared at all. And when I dropped the snake on the ground. It stopped and looked at me before slithering into the grass and I will never forget that moment. I felt like we actually looked at each other and there was a moment where I felt something but don't know how to describe it. Not being born in India or into a Hidnu practicing family, I had little to no knowledge of Hidnuism, the practices etc except what I would pick up from visiting the temple and what intuitively came to me. I knew Hindu's revered snakes and love cows. All nature actually. But I never knew the deep spiritual significance until I started having dreams of snakes visiting me in my dreams that still happens today. As a matter of fact I dreamt about a snake that was riding a stray dog in my dream and we were playing together on this dream two nights ago. I'm still fascinated about nagas and hope this channel posts more about it because I'm curious to learn more. P.S. when there are visitors and they ask who I am, I am described as the fellow that feeds birds, stray dogs and isn't afraid of holding snakes and setting them free. 😂😂😂

Long back when I was 5 or 6 years old, I killed a snake while it was resting in our pond after eating fish. I killed it because I thought it is eating what is ours. A lady begger of grandmother's age was passing by she saw me killing the snake and asked "why you killed the snake? I replied: everyday it eats our fish. She asked me "What if someone hits you when you are eating? This question went deep in my heart and I took a vow that I will always avoid killing. After long long days, I found a snake caught in a fishing net surrounded by some kids waiting for its life to end. I decided to save it. I had to take some risk as I had to hold it with my hand, but all my fear was taken away by the Mother Almighty... I rekeased it in water and I still remember the way it looked back to me for few seconds..... What I understood that day is Love has unimaginable power

I'm from Nair community from Kerala.. which even now we worship the Nagadeity installed in our home by our ancestors..oftenly we invoke them and ask solution...once invoked in human it has to subsede from them..by proper mantras... otherwise that human being health will be deteriated ....

not only snakes but don’t harm any living being! I accidentally stepped on a bug today, I felt so sorry and asked for its forgiveness❤ I know it sounds funny and silly even, but I try to lead a life that causes the least amount of harm to any living being!

More on Nagas pleasssse! They have persisted in places like Indonesia and Malaysia and Thailand and Laos and India and Cambodia and China and also - MERMAIDS are nagas too.
  • @RajSingh-qc8qy
Regarding the snake when you were 16, I think god put you in that situation, you felt the dark energy you knew something wasn’t right, your intuition was talking, all of this opened you up to higher spiritual concepts beyond your senses, gave you compassion and set you off on a journey to find answers. It’s probably because of that incident, as horrible as it was, that you are sitting there today in the position you are in 🙏🏽

In yoga and Indian spiritual traditions, *siddhis* refer to extraordinary powers or abilities that practitioners may develop through deep meditation, disciplined practice, and spiritual advancement. The concept of siddhis is detailed in various ancient texts, including the "Yoga Sutras of Patanjali" and the "Srimad Bhagavatam." Here are some examples of siddhis: 1. **Anima**: The ability to shrink one's body to the size of an atom. 2. **Mahima**: The ability to expand one's body to an infinitely large size. 3. **Laghima**: The ability to become weightless or lighter than air. 4. **Garima**: The ability to become infinitely heavy. 5. **Prapti**: The ability to obtain anything desired or travel anywhere instantaneously. 6. **Prakamya**: The ability to realize whatever one desires. 7. **Ishitva**: The ability to have absolute control over nature, including creating and destroying matter. 8. **Vashitva**: The power to control the minds and actions of others. In addition to these traditional eight siddhis, other abilities are also considered siddhis: - **Telepathy**: The ability to read others' minds or communicate mentally. - **Clairvoyance**: The ability to see distant or unseen objects and events. - **Levitation**: The ability to rise and float in the air. - **Healing**: The power to heal illnesses in oneself and others. - **Astral Projection**: The ability to project one's consciousness outside the physical body. While these abilities are fascinating, the core teaching in yoga emphasizes that the ultimate goal is spiritual liberation (moksha) rather than the pursuit of supernatural powers. Siddhis are often viewed as potential distractions on the path to enlightenment and should be approached with caution.

  • Here's a Real Life Naga Story passed down from my Ancestors. My Great Grandfather(Maternal), Jaggana Garu, got 1 Elder daughter & then 7 sons. So one day he went to Paddy Fields & saw a King Cobra 🐍"Sooo big, around 20 Feet, seems to be Pregnant, And moving Tooo Slow like an Old Snake" in his own Words. He also said that, 'at that moment I don't know what got inside me, but I've felt an urge to kill it & hence killed it instantly'. THEN, when he returned Home🏡, from the paddy field, THE 1st Elder Daughter is DEAD💀. He used to consider her as Goddess Lakshmi herself as she used to be the Most Charming & Beautiful Girl in our entire Village at that time. Takeaway for Us is: Karma is Inevitable & when you mess with the Wrong entities, then Karma Can Also be INSTANT. Cuz, they be like: PSYCHHH! ITS THE WRONG NUMBER🔱💯 And here's another interesting Naga story in our Family, which is... So... Our Paternal Grandma has 4 daughters but no Sons. So she worshipped Subramanyeswara swamy(God of Snakes) & told him that if a Son is born this time, I'll name his after You. And that's how my own Father is named Nageswara Rao☺
