I would have a blast on either holiday. It is what you make of it....

at the end the "posh" lady says "if you've seen one hillside you've seen them all". One could say the same thing about a hotel room.

I can't believe how ignorant the richer family were; closed minds, rude , no curiosity about life. It must have been a nightmare to be on holiday with them. The two elder girls were unbelievably spoiled and the mother appeared mindless;I'd hate her to be teaching my children. I can't condone the drunken outburst from the two boys, it was rude but at least that family wanted to see some of the world and learn things.
  • I feel so bad for the little girl, she really tried to enjoy herself. Too bad she was surrounded by negativity on both sides.

The camping family is lovely. They just seems to have so much fun...

I did have to agree with the posh Dad when he said "my idea of a beautiful beach is the fewer people on it the better".

The Theodores (apart from the youngest) were utterly loathsome, especially the mother!

Admittedly, I love going to other countries, experiencing the world, learning about new cultures and meeting new people etc, but I equally love holidays in the UK. I love camping, it's back to basics which is something I thoroughly enjoy. At least Amber made an effort, whereas the other daughters and the Mum are complete snobs. Also, shows how old the show is, smoking in a pub.
  • Guffaw at the idea that you can only experience foreign 'culture' and 'truly travel' within the confines of 5 star luxury and comfort!

I love that I can enjoy both holidays, grew up poor made money and have never forgot my roots

Moans that there isn’t a fridge and then proceeds to buy a life time supply of yoghurts

Felt so sorry for the youngest girl she’s just a child and trying to have fun!

Love it... Middle class family trying desperately not to be and working class family enjoying life....

Anyone would think the Theodores were at the Battle of the bloody Somme... and the snobbery! Unbelievable.
  • @kellynorman9270
Both holidays have their plus points and how can anybody find the scenery around the UK boring. Also the second holiday was just about shoving their wealth in the other family's face and showing the classic upper class mentality that the working class should be bloody grateful the minute that they are shown any luxury or "civilisation".
  • @RaefonB
Complain about no fridge and then buy yoghurts? 0_o

Ummm... sitting in a hotel around a pool is NOT experiencing culture!! Are you kidding me!! Going and experiencing how the native people of that area live is experiencing culture. How can they not understand that? They just like to go sight seeing.
