Welcome to the third video in my "Hidden Gem" series!
Today I look at a BEAUTIFUL guitar that definitely flies under the radar!
This guitar could easily be mistaken for one costing twice the price, and as a huge fan of black and gold, it was really hard to put down!

  • This guitar is a real beauty and Schecter is an underrated company. A great choice for your Series!
  • Darryl, you bugger! After seeing this review I went out and bought the “Black and Gold Beauty”. I can’t thank you enough; it is truly a delight! I haven’t had a full electric since 1969 so this was a perfect choice for me. Schecter really did a job on this fabulous guitar!
  • These are over eleven hundred dollars. I guess my definition of affordable is drastically different than Darrells.

That solo around the 9minute Mark is just great! Love showing how it plays clean on the touch but then can grab gain on the dig in. Not my favorite style of music but you just crushed it
  • @johnhmaloney
I'm very impressed with what Schecter has been doing lately. I had them pegged as just a metal guitar company, but they're really been branching out.
  • @drumsurfdump
That is a gorgeous sounding and looking guitar. I have to say, the tones you were getting from the first instant you played it on through to the finish completely got my attention and the value on this thing, as appointed, is untouchable by any domestic manufacturer by many multiples. This WILL be my next guitar, what a wonderfully versatile instrument!
  • @artr2
Just love the way how you talk makes us all feel calm, and even describing the guitar is very informative! Let's not forget about the way you also play! So professional! More power and God bless you more!
  • @jorgegvb
I never knew Schecter made guitars like you have featured recently. Thanks for sharing!
  • @rodwoodruff5493
Nice to see Schecter making some classy, high-quality guitars and really expanding on the metal “Omens” and “Hellraisers” that were their main focus for so long. Loved them back in the ‘80’s when they were making great Strats and Teles, really liking what they are doing now!
  • @FrazySting
That looks absolutely gorgeous! Schecter has been really stepping up their game outside of the shreddy and metal area.
  • @Illanaro
i really like the fact that you are loving these schecter guitars and they are mainly known for their metal guitars. It's so refreshing that they are branching out to make all sorts of guitars
  • @Nate_P
Stunning! Thanks for sharing Darrell! You've definitely put Schecter on my radar.
  • @harsharcane1652
Fantastic work as always man. Normally I'm not sold on hardware here. But this whole body, tone, and playability has me. Keep on my friend
  • Darrell, I've been watching several of your videos today while practicing and I must say that I really enjoy what you're doing. Keep up the great work. Peace...
  • @SirVicc
Schekters aren't usually my type of guitar, and neither are hollowbodies. But this guitar does something for me.
  • I have been hoping (praying) that you’d demo this guitar. I’ve had my eye on it since I fell in love with hollow body guitars!
  • @teerexness
Gorgeous guitar! Being a big Gretsch fan, this certainly fits the bill. I love the fact that tehy didn't do the corny looking F-Holes. Schecter really deserves to be a bigger part of the conversation. Beautiful looks and sound.  I know I sound like a broken record, but my favorite thing about DBG is the lack of reviews of yet another S-Type/T-Type or LP style guitar. The world just doesn't need more of those!
  • @nycak4713
Great review of a beautiful guitar!! Thank you for all of your great guitar reviews, Daryll. I love your channel and watch your reviews often. They are really helpful.
  • @lesshrubb203
A beautiful guitar, played beautifully. Thank you, Darrell, I’m sold!
