  • Was just going to bed myself when up you popped. Just a thought with the curtains at the top where you put the hooks in there are probably 3 strings. You pull these and it gathers the curtain up and makes nice pleats and you'll find they will drape better and you won't have to use loads of hooks. BUT if you gather them up make sure you tie the ends together at the other end (all 3) or you will pull the strings through the curtain as they are usually not fastened down and if you don't you'll pull them out. You can get rings for the poles so if you get some curtains for another room don't think you have to get the ring top type curtains or track rails if you have normal curtains if that makes sense. Fab fabric x

I would put two curtains to the little window and not cut the rail.
  • The wicker hamper would have been good to keep your treasures in, instead of a cardboard box. I have a wooden batten fixed to the wall with rawplugs and the curtain rail fixes onto it, makes it ,more secure. Put a curtain hook every 3 spaces, then find the 3 strings at each end pull the three together for your gather, pull them one side to the middle then do the same with the other side. When you have the right gather tie the ends. Hope this helps xx
  • Love the blind and the curtains. They really fit with the style of your cottage and will look lovely in the autumn/winter, will look really cosy. Good choice. x

Well done that man putting up the blinds & curtains, winter will be much more comfortable this year. Love the WM pattern & the matching colour of the new bedding, it suits you sir!
  • Love the curtains Sean! Perhaps when youโ€™re next near a curtain shop, pop in and ask them about gathering the pleats at the top for a more sophisticated finish ๐Ÿ˜Š or ask your cousin to show you. I would suggest you put both curtains on the smaller window, gather the strings a bit tighter, it will look quite luxurious. Your house is turning into a lovely cosy place. All the best.
  • Those curtains really add that special touch to your windows. They look lovely. And the green sheets and bedspread will blend very nicely with those curtains. Perfect choice for you Sean. Very cozy indeed.๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I would hang the second curtain on the small window. Did LOL at you leaving the bread maker on the bus ๐Ÿ˜‚As my mum used to say... keep your wits about you! ๐Ÿ˜„ I really like the curtains, I don't mind the large lemons and oranges.
  • Fancy leaving the breadmaker on the bus๐Ÿ˜‚ was wondering where it was when you were walking up to too good to waste. I bet your glad it's finally on its way. Love it ๐Ÿ˜Š
  • You need to pull up the string on the top of the curtain to gather them
  • @YolaWells
I think for winter months I would put blinds on inside of windows as well as curtains .IV done this before and may do this again this winter in my new house
  • @jillychandler
I love your new curtains, they make such a difference to your bedroom, and I love the pattern. As susangrindle says, you need to pull the strings to bunch the curtains up more, but as she said tie both ends when you have done so. You had such a busy day, you must relax now, and have a cup of tea - beautiful! Sleep well with your new curtains closed. xxx
  • @Barneysma
Beautiful curtains and blinds. As others have said, tie the ends of the strings at one end and pull them up so that each curtain is wide enough to cover half a window. Probably best to watch a how to on YouTube. Then you use the hooks to clip on the end off the rail to stop them pulling across from the wrong end. Good idea to leave the rails a little long and then curtains can pull right back off the window in the daytime to let as much light in as possible.

That bread maker doesn't want to leave you ๐Ÿ˜‚. I do love the look of the curtains and the blind. Now they are up i think one curtain on that smaller window is definitely enough. The fruits are a bit on the large side, but I think you will get used to that in time. Another great video โค

Lovely curtains and blind. Would you consider doing a colour on the walls in the bedroom or do you like it as it is? I think a colour would make it super cozy. That little cat melted my heart. โค
  • @dcsss
Kitchen blind is lovely! Just how I imagined lol
  • @user-cn2dx2cr9r
The hooks usually dont go through the three chords at the top of the curtain, they are just used to make the pleats , then tied in a knot. Just cut off any long ends once you have knotted them . Now your hooks go through the holes in the curtain tape and not through the chords
  • You could of used the original pole just bought rings with eyes on to put the hooks through xx

Liked the large whicker basket in too good to waste. Would make a good blanket chest for bedding and towels ๐Ÿ˜Š
