Welcome to 2 Bickerton Crescent, an exceptional 3+2 bedroom raised brick and stone bungalow situated within the Pleasant View neighbourhood of Toronto’s North York community.

Built in 1971, and lovingly maintained by the current owners for the past 21 years - this oversized bungalow showcases 1,430 sq. ft. of main level living space, with the self-contained and fully finished lower level adding another 1,550 sq. ft. of living space to the home.

The attached double car garage is complemented with an oversized private double driveway, and the home is landscaped on all sides. Hedges growing along the south and west yards provide privacy, a grapevine grows along the north chain link fence, and the backyard has a vegetable gardening bed. Raised stone beds line the driveway, surrounding the entire home is an interlocking walkway, and a 12.5’ x 23’ interlocking patio area on the north side is accessible from the garage as well as from the home - and this home also has a built-in gas line for a barbecue.

The newly painted covered front porch is 19’ x 5.8’ in size, overlooks the front gardens, and with its east-facing exposure is a beautiful space to enjoy the morning light. Freshly painted throughout, the home also features many updates top to bottom, inside and out - including contemporary light fixtures, the re-shingled roof, the eavestroughs, most windows replaced with tilt slider windows, newer hardwood flooring, renovated washrooms, as well as the front porch’s aluminum railing - while wood trims, baseboards, interior doors, and cabinetry (where seen) enhance the warm and inviting aura of the home.

The ceramic tiled entrance foyer and main hallway (which has a mirrored door double coat closet) are separate from each other, and ceramic flooring also finishes the kitchen area, as well as the washroom on this level. The principal rooms are very generously sized, and off the entry hall is the living room, which is open to the formal dining room. Providing natural lighting and views of the front garden is an oversized east-facing casement window in the living room, while an exquisite chandelier enhances the ambiance of the dining room - and both of these entertaining spaces showcase crown moldings and hardwood flooring.

Across the hall from the dining room is the door to the lower level - which is accented with a stained glass insert and transom, and the entry into the kitchen and its breakfast area. This updated work and family gathering space has a functional U-shaped design, and showcases elegant light fixtures; a ceramic tiled back splash and granite counters; oak cabinetry with pantry and servery areas; windows overlooking the side yard and patio; a stainless steel double sink; as well as white appliances including a fridge, dishwasher, and an oven.

The three bedrooms on this level are all quite spacious, have good sized windows with either south- or west-facing exposures, and have updated hardwood flooring - and both the second and third bedrooms have ample closet storage, while the primary (master) bedroom has a large double closet. The renovated 5-pc washroom showcases beautiful tiled finishes throughout; toilet and bidet; a vanity with quartz counter and under mount basin; as well as a bath/shower area with sliding glass shower doors.

The stairs to the lower level are finished with ceramic tiles, and the mid-landing has the separate side door entrance from the north yard - allowing the option for the lower level to be utilized as a self-contained suite for extended or multi-generational families.

All the windows on this level (with the exception of the cantina) are slider tilt windows and above ground, allowing natural lights to come in - and the cantina itself (which is located under the front porch) is approximately 135 sq. ft. in size. Ceramic flooring finishes most of this level, which features a combined utility and laundry room, as well as an eat-in kitchen - while the room adjacent to the kitchen has a double closet, and with the addition of a wall partition and a door, can be converted into a second bedroom. The first bedroom features laminate flooring and a mirrored door double closet - and across the hall is the renovated 3-pc washroom with access to storage space under the stairs. Completing this level is the huge recreation area - which features a corner wet bar, laminate flooring, a corner fireplace, accent pot lighting, and crown moldings.

Steps to Pleasant View Middle School, as well as being a short walk to Ernest Public School, TTC bus service, the Pleasant View Community Centre and Arena, Van Horne Park, and the Victoria Van Horne Shopping Plaza - this home is also a short drive to Seneca College, Fairview Mall, and the Don Mills subway station, with access to Hwys 401, 404 and the Don Valley Parkway minutes away, as well.

My childhood home. My family were the original owners hasn’t changed much. Miss it

These houses are beautiful... but what gets me with this channel is that you guys show just 80 to 90% of the house. I want to see everything, especially if I plan to purchase or peak interest. I understand if people still live there until.., which makes since. But if they don't... show it ALL. Like that beat up tacky room downstairs in the corner. I'm glad that was shown, it was real.

I love this house. White cabinets in the kitchen would look great.

This would be a nice starter home for a young couple just a starting out. However, I'd hardly call it a forever home. There's no room to grow. It's nice that there's a bathroom in the basement. The rest of the house is cramped. Very little counter space in the kitchen, the bedrooms don't even have room enough for dressers. They didn't show the backyard.

Wonderful house but that first room that was shown on the lower level looks horrible.
  • Uma casa dessa aqui no Brasil sem muro seria um prato cheio para os bandidos.Aqui está cheio de bandido!
