After an 11-day Canada & New England cruise, we have landed at our ending port of Quebec City. We are spending one night post-cruise so we can enjoy this beautiful city!

We first visit the Citadel of Quebec, which is at the highest point of the city and the views are spectacular from here! And we learn the history of the area how it was founded by the French and taken over by the British, but the area of Quebec retained the French language.

After an amazing lunch at Bistro 1640, we ride Le Funiculaire down to the lower part of the city. This is where access to the cruise terminal is, but also Quartier Petit Champlain. This area is so charming! It is mostly only a pedestrian area full of boutiques and restaurants. So beautiful in the fall which it has areas with special decor.

We end our evening on Saint Jean Street for live music and dinner... but are drawn into a delicous smelling popcorn shop! Yes, we had to have some! Quebec style of course!

Speaking of food... we can't leave without breakfast! And we have the most amazing brunch at La Buche... so delicious!!!

Beautiful Quebec City!! That American way of saying “Qwa bec” Hope you come back and see Montreal too!
  • Being a Canadian who lives here, Quebec City is one of our favourite places to visit, its been a few years, its a 10 hour drive for us but we used to visit all the time when our children were younger. It is hard not to fall in love with this place, i find it very European. Its a special place and i am so happy you loved it there. Looking forward to your next videos on the British Isles.

I’ve been watching through a lot of cruise videos for New England itineraries, and have somehow kept coming back to you guys at each port. New subscriber for sure, love your guys’ energy!

Now you need to go to Montreal, my home city. It’s not as historic as Quebec City but you have the “old Montreal” and then boom! The city becomes alive with a wild life, a bit like NewYork
  • @gruttero
I agree, Quebec City is beautiful! Next time you come to Quebec, please come and also visit Montreal. It's a totally different vibe, but totally worth the visit. :D

Born in Ottawa, lived most of my life in USA; however, next May, 2025, we plan to spend some time in Wakefield, then head up to Quebec City for a tour, maybe a week! Guys & dolls, what d'ya think, will it be worth the wait & trip to Quebec?! hein!??

Great video. I live 8 hours away and have never been to Quebec City. LESSON for today. Quebec is a PROVINCE not PROVIDENCE.
