if Mark ends up reading this, I recommend you try airsofting in Japan! the hobby is huge there and it would be a good way to get to practice some japanese outside of classes. People in Japan aren't the most keen on making small talk on a normal business day as I'm sure you probably know. It's also a good outlet if you find yourself missing some things about the army. Hope your interview went well and you get to enjoy living abroad
