I hope hes alright. He just made his dream come true.
  • That is scary as sht for real. Bones ligaments tendons that all can heal with time but the neck or anything to do with the spine that goes from a football injury to catastrophe real quick. 🙏 up for Dee man is awesome has worked so hard to get a chance. God Bless the dude.

Man, i got to meet him at a gym last summer. He couldn't have been a nicer dude. Sucks this happened.
  • I broke my neck in high school on a kickoff return, and now I'm paralyzed. These things are why the NFL kick rule change is so important!!
  • @austins4039
Thats why they teach head up when wrapping up

Doc is right. I used to drop my head when I tackled and I'm still paying for it at 50 years old.

Im saddened to hear this. Had real hopes for him to make it.

Damn I never thought I'd see the bro on your channel damn man.

I know he’s a kicker, but if he played throughout his childhood he had to have played other positions and was taught form tackling. You never ever lead with the top of your head into contact. Old school form tackling was if you lead with your head you put your facemask right into their gut and wrap their legs with your arms. They’ve gone away with teaching to lead with your head at all, but if you’re going to you never put your head down as you go into contact. He’s lucky he didn’t get paralyzed.
  • @Rayallwayz
This is why most punters and kickers avoid tackling!

Lucky he wasn’t paralyzed, or his spinal cord wasn’t tweaked, neck injuries are one of the most serious injuries you could ever sustain.
  • @Jred8300
I just know he was trying to prove a point with that tackle that he’s more than just a kicker by showing his athleticism with that tackle 😓 Wishing the bro a speedy recovery 🙏🏾

Great detailed input for Football Players, and overall body and health enthusiasts (as we all should be), awesome content! I really hope Dee heals up well and quick, man deserves to stay as a pro player for many years, he has earn this spot after it being taken as it was from the NCAA.

Unfortunate for the dude, wishing him a speedy recovery🙏 At least he has his media platform to fall back on👌

I was taught heads up tackling when I was in Jr Highschool all the way back in the late 70's to early 80's. It's been around for quite sometime.

I have a processing disorder and find it hard to learn but found it really easy to learn things from this video because of the way this guy explains it.
  • As a kicker he miscalculated the angle and found himself driving his left shoulder from the side instead of right shoulder from a front angle forcing the runners momentum through his head to the eventual right shoulder take down.
