Marvin's drum patterns are unique. He was a man of many talents.

The G.O.A.T. of soul music, but honestly much of Marvin's music transcends genre.

This is very much Jazz Fusion. Musicians are improvising while interacting with Marvin's vocals...genius. Love the breakdown in the middle, reminds me of 'Flying High' interlude from 'What's Going On'.

This wasn't even a finished song, and it's still awesome. If you listen, you'll notice that Marvin is scat singing and sort of "mumbling" a lot on this song. That's because he was still in the process of writing lyrics and vocal melodies for it. He didn't intend for it to be released like this, but I'm glad we have it anyway.

everything he touches turns to gold...heard the 1850 Folger's commerical and it stood out.

I'm here again after the funeral service for the Queen of Soul. I need the music of another legend to help me deal with the loss of a legend like Aretha Franklin.

One of Marvin's best LPs, Didn't get the push or radio play but it was a great piece of work.
  • I just found this song from a commercial playing it........ Very great song! One of the best artist in his prime days!!
