Given that the majority of temperature sensors are in the northern hemisphere, it is dubious that a global temperature is even measurable. Until actual temperature measurements are taken everywhere and not just within heat islands (cities) it cannot be said the entire globe is truly warming. If one is genuinely concerned, then go plant a couple of dozen trees.
