  • @lfrankify
Did anyone else think that Old D saved herself and just walked in on the song and just went along with it to make Misto feel better?

Movie: sksksks im so scared i cant do this >-< I'm too shy🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Musical: literally ascends from heaven wearing a light up jacket I WILL DESTROY YOU WITH MY LIGHTNING POWERS
  • @Ava-ik1ni
I love that absolutely no one in the cast understands the basis of the musical
  • @tobak952
wow... making misto sing his own song really squashes the charecter
  • @katthunter6561
This barely qualifies as a song, it just keeps stopping and the only thing they actually sing is the chorus. Compared to the epic upbeat original and it makes ya wanna cry

Rum Tum Tugger: BRO! STOP FLIRTING WITH MY BOYFRIEND! Munkustrap: Its not my fault you weren't hyping him up! ...But seriously, why is Munk singing instead of Rum Tum? And Victoria singing instead of Rum Tum?!
  • @CeltycSparrow
I could just HEAR the people behind the scenes thinking "I KNOW we made Ken Page crawl out on his hands and knees under the red cover when Misto did his magic to bring Old Deuteronomy back, but HOW are we going to get Dame Judi Dench....who is 85 yrs old and wearing this insanely big and heavy fur coat, to do that? Let's just have her appear behind the cats when Misto does his song and call it a day." lol

Hmm but if he’s shy and quiet.. why’d they make him sing basically the whole song in this version??
  • Every time I think “well maybe this movie wasn’t so bad” I remember this like…just soul crushing
  • @cyh2499
Who would want timid, unsure, non-magic Mistoffelees when you can have sparkly, confident, definitely magic, and adored Mistoffelees? The latter is better, trust me

One of the biggest mistakes they made with Misto is not casting a professional dancer to play the part, Misto had the biggest and most difficult dance in the entire show, in the play you'll notice Misto barely sings, ofc he sings along with the ensemble and has a couple of lines in different songs, like jellical cats or rum tum tugger, but he's not belting out any solos or anything like that and that is because he is not a singer, the role of Misto has always been made for a dancer.

Why is Mr. 🪄🌟Presto🪄🌟 singing his own song? I see Jason Derulo in the scene. Why remind me that he should be the one singing? Why?
  • I haven't seen the movie, but I'm reliving my freshman year of high school, since this is the musical we did... Omfg what did they do to Misto?! He was one of the coolest cats on stage, even Tugger admired him! WTAF?!
  • @CrazyQuilman157
I know why it took so long in this version! He didn't do the Conjuring Turn!
  • @333angeleyes
No disrespect to this cast but, this does not even come close to the 1998 version of the song, I almost cried on that version because of how emotionally powerful it was.
  • I get how the big shot celebtities can't be on set for too long, but the fact that Jason Derulo is RIGHT THERE hurts me so much

Though this has some unique charm to it (im not denying this movie is a mess) but it still missing the "magical" feelings from when you watch the original play
