Esslingen Medieval Christmas Market, Germany virtual walk

Published 2022-12-23
Welcome to Esslingen! The medieval Christmas Market takes place in this beautiful town every year.
Market itself starts from 08:00 in the video as I have decided to make a small virtual walk around the city itself - people always forget the decorated cities when go to markets. .
This Christmas Market is always featured in Top 10 German Christmas Markets or the Christmas Markets which are to be visited during Christmas Season. Does it worth to go here? You can decide this on your own.
Every day there is a performance on the stage. Here you can buy a sword, try to shoot from a bow and, even buy one for you. With arrows of course. Or maybe to hunt a dragon? Or try to damage the wall with catapult? Everything is possible here.

Formally the Esslingen Christmas Market is split into two parts - the Advent Market on the MarktPlatz and the Medieval Market near the old city hall.

Parking is always a problem here - you can drop your car at Parkhaus pliensauturm and walk around 20-25 minutes till the square, or try to find a place in Küferstrasse/Altstadt

Esslingen is also reachable by train from Stuttgart train station. Travel time is around 15-20 minutes.

  • My dear friend, your content is truly one of the most outstanding things I have seen. I know I might be very excited, but I have been dreaming exploring it myself for a long time, and life is still getting a bit in my way to execute that plan. So your videos are truly helping me get through the waiting time and making the plan to become a reality. Plus, watching your videos is so soothing and relaxing that I can't help myself to press play every evening and take myself on this journey with you. Thank you so much and wishing you the best :)

Oh this is amazing! There was a section of the market near the Altes Rathaus that I couldn't visit because of the insane number of people there! literally can not walk there. Your selection of day was far smarter than mine :) Great video!
