In the world of VS-battles, Omni-Man from Invincible is commonly pitted up against foes such as The Boys' Homelander, DC comics' Superman, and of course, Metro Man from the Megamind movie by Dreamworks. Some people seem to think that Metro Man smashes out the competition due to his impressive speed feat, but when it comes to other parameters in a battle, does Omni-Man have any chance against this caped savior, or will he get defeated rather easily? In this video, I cover feats, statements, and scaling from the Invincible comics to determine who would really win this battle!

Please let me know who you think wins and please be sure to check out my Broly VS Buu video! Thanks :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WN13vNL3Rs To go over a few comments and "counterguments" 1. "Metro Man is a parody of Superman, so he should win". What? Just because a character is a parody or homage to another doesn't automatically mean they get their same feats and attributes. That's like me saying that Goku could defeat Superman because he scales above Doctor Slump's Suppaman who is clearly a parody of Superman. 2. "We haven't seen Metro Man's full potential." True, but it would be burden of proof to put it anywhere near Omni-Man's level of power. You'd have to make a lot of assumptions. 3. "Red Rush could hurt Omni-Man, so Metro Man could do the same." Just because Red Rush did that doesn't automatically mean Metro Man would fare the same. Again, you'd have to PROVE Metro Man has enough attack potency to do the same thing. 4. "Metro Man is much faster". As I said in the video, I'd love for someone to calculate it high enough to prove it stacks up to Omni-Man. Otherwise, saying he is simply faster without a calculation or some sort of metric, reeks of headcanon.
  • If Megamind were to have a live action movie, I think we all can agree that Markiplier should be the one played Metro Man.
  • Its worth mentioning that when Metroman is moving with his superspeed he is walking, which implies this isn't the fastest he can go. Also, we can't really prove whether or not he lacks the durability, strength, or stamina to beat omniman since the only thing we have to go off of is tighten, who is much weaker than Metroman.
  • It's important to note that metroman was literally rethinking his life in that single instant, he did not rush anything and really thought it through. We should probably take note the massive thinking capability that would take. He could not just react to something that approaches the speed of light, he would literally take a shower then dodge that strike. Thinking that flying very fast could somehow go against someone who could think very fast is underestimating what information could do in a battle
  • We really haven’t seen Metro man at his fullest potential. With the way his character is portrayed, I assume he is similar to Spider-Man or Superman in that he always pulls his punches because he doesn’t want to risk killing anyone, and he enjoys the challenge. I could definitely see him being way more powerful than what we saw on screen
  • I think Metromans speed is just incredible, because not only do we see him basically stop time relative to his speed, its controlled speed. Its not something he had to build up with accelleration, he just has the ability to go multiple times light speed from 0 in an instant with complete control. Omni man just wouldnt even be able to touch him. Metroman might not be able to actually defeat Omniman in a head to head, but Omniman wouldnt even be able to touch Metroman to finish him off either.
  • This just isn’t fair, Metro Man is a character from a single film with a few spinoffs meanwhile Omni Man is a character from a comic series that has years worth of stories. Of course his feats are just gonna put him on a whole other level. This is the ultimate example of how important history is for scaling.

Not many people noticed this, but if you slow down the movie to the max you can see that while Megamind was doing his speech through the screen at the beginning of the movie, Metroman went behind him for a very brief moment and then returned where he was without anyone noticing it. So he knew already where Megamind really was and pretended to be unware of it.
  • @LucanoGaming
While I do not disagree, the thing is that we never saw the ceiling of Metroman's durability or strength. We do have confirmation that he is THAT fast in terms of reaction and function, since his speed feat was in fuctioning and thinking. He never gets hurt and never truly exerts himself in any way.
  • Metro Man defies the laws of physics in a much different fashion in comparison to Omni Man. Unlike Omni Man, Metro Man’s speed doesn’t have any effect on his surroundings. There are no explosions or sonic booms caused by his movements. It’s almost as though all time and physics have just completely stopped around him. If anything, he could have been moving at that speed for literal days in his own time.
  • Ngl that scene with metroman using his super speed to go soul searching was one of the coolest scenes in any dream works movie regardless of who wins this fight.
  • @Wizard_Pepsi
I would like to point out that Metroman actually did all that life rethinking stuff not in the time it took for the sun beam to hit him, but in the flicker of a millisecond shown on the city projectors during their initial confrontation right after Megamind says "FIRE!"
  • @LunamPuer
Metro Man had an entire mid life crisis in the span of seconds. No one tops that speed.
  • While we never really see the full extent of Metroman's power, mainly cause there's nothing in his own universe that could really challenge him, the speed feat really gives us everything we need to know. The fact that he moved so fast that a literal second of time seemingly lasted an entire day for him blows anything Nolan can do out of the water, mainly cause of the fact that he was walking , reading, reminiscing and eating food while completely unworried about his stamina or the time he was wasting. Implying he can go much faster and for much longer if he really wanted to. Also, since his body alredy has to have the durability to not fly apart while going that fast, he's alredy pretty much comparable to a Viltrumite. Also Hal really isn't comparable to Metroman. Yeah, he has all his powers, but they're clearly either bootleg versions or Hal ,being the shithead he is, really just didn't put any real effort into actually mastering them, the latter being the more likely one. Now, granted, Nolan has an insurmountable advantage in pure experience. Not only has the guy been around for thousands of years, but he knows how to fight and kill other Viltrumites or people of a similar level, so it wouldn't take him very long to figure out that Metroman isn't used to fighting with someone in the same weight class as him and use that to his advantage.
  • I feel like it should be noted that Metroman's best feats were shown to barely drain him, as he shows to not even break a sweat during the time-stop feat. This means that what he's doing here isn't even close to his full power and full potential, as he was never shown to train either. Additionally, he has no known weaknesses. Though I do think this is a great analysis and a great video! :D
  • @carddudez5060
Omni Man: dose a huge amount of calculations and highballing Metroman: hes fast and strong ig
  • @befunga
Metro man did that speed feat while WALKING, reading, eating, thinking, strolling through town, and this was all controlled and without the need of acceleration. And when he did “run” between events it was like he had super speed even on top of his already time stopping “walking” speed. This is near teleportation levels of speed
  • I always forget omni-man has done more than what's shown inside the comic run. Interesting to see.
  • Techincally Tighten doesn't have Metromans powers, his powers were created to replicate Metroman, but we have to keep in mind, that Megamind never saw Metromans full power. He is likely much weaker.
  • I also like the explanation that Metromans strength basically scales to infinity, as this is what he was made for. He is a perfect hero with perfect abilities and strength beyond the physical capabilities of any evil. This guess of how strong Metroman is is very meta, but it makes sense
