I had been eating meat-heavy Keto for several years. My aches and pains virtually disappeared, I had loads of energy, and frankly I've never felt better. A relative became worried for me regarding the foods that I was eating and encouraged me to go plant-based. I went back to eating fruit, veggies, pasta, bread, rice, and etc., and bit of meat. About a year or so later I had a heart attach, followed by two more within that year. I've had open heart surgery, and I've got 9 stents. All of my aches and pains, and more, have returned and my energy is on the low end. I'm on statins and a cholesterol blocker. My new Cardio Vascular Surgeon insisted I go fully plant-based. I know that my cardiologist (s) are gonna freak out, but I'm going back to meat-heavy Keto.

Yesterday I layered my pork ribs with horseradish. Big mistake. All day today my feet ached, specially when I went shopping. No more plant waste for me ! 80 year old carnivore for life here.

Dave is the best interviewer in this community! He lets the guest talk, and just leads them into telling their experience.
  • Yes keto and carnivore are both budget friendly. Your food is so nutrient dense that you do not need as much...

I was super stiff, to the point that it hurt to bend over and lift my other leg into my skirt. Just started carnivore two days ago and already I'm bending over with no pain and no stiffness. So excited to see what else heals!

I was carnivore 10 months. Started because i felt so bad. After a month i felt better, then great. No allergies, colds, flu, joint or muscle pains. Energy increase. Then i felt i could start eating other things. I have had flu, cold, sinus, pain all over & exhausted again. I needed to hear this. It's early morning, a new day. With the Lord's help, I'm on carnivire starting right now. Thank you for making this video!❤

Lovely interview. Thanks both. I used to joke about just telling people you’re allergic to vegetables, but the more interviews I watch the more I realise that we actually ARE extremely sensitive to the oxalates otherwise how come so many get the inflammation and pain back when they try to introduce them again. Also makes me think about kids in the morning not wanting to go to school because they had a tummy ache. I’ve just taken cream out of my diet because I’m getting lightly asthmatic again which cleared up on keto with no cream. Definitely a sensitivity there for me too. So we can’t worry about what others think, we’re eliminating what’s bad for us , and it’s making us nicer and better people.
  • My dentist thinks i have gone behind her back & found a new dentist; i just haven’t gone back in several years, & my teeth are cleaner & my gums don’t bleed.

I love this interview. My fav take away is, "It's a calling..." Yeah, for sure, no one is going to take carnivore seriously unless they feel called to. Being carnivore is not easy and it's definitely not for everyone; and that's okay.

Dave, I've been trying to work out how many fabulous testimonials like this one with Shawnee that you put out each week, then multiply it by the month, then the year but then you release another one and the counting stops again. 😄I got to about 70-80 or more a month at one point. In any case, it's such an amazing collection of evidence of the benefits of the carnivore lifestyle.

Carnivores are such nice people❤🎉...and most of them seems to love animals😊. They have a realistic and common sense approach to life, and a calmness about the realities of life and death.👌🏽🥩

I loved everything you talked about Shawnee…mental clarity and decision making, simplicity with shopping, budgeting, researching farming, conversations with other women, not beating yourself up. I mean….how many perks does carni give‼️ life improves on so many levels it’s really magical.
  • @SteveMcQueen999
Your guests are so honest. They admit when they get it wrong. Amazing stories. She's exactly right. You start to feel so much better and you convince yourself to reintroduce the bad toxic foods....and your healing either stops or the issues start to come back.
  • I really love this interview!! She is so real. I did exactly what she did, and now I'm two weeks in also.. thanks so much Shawnee!

It’s crazy how people think you have to eat vegetables.. I think about my youth and we never ate vegetables unless it was green beans, coleslaw.. and we ate beans. But I only ate hamburger once when I was younger. Broiled hamburger. I look back and realize how much better they tasted too..

Thanks, Dave, for interviewing Shawnee. Great job to you both.

Thank you Shawnee, for standing up for yourself. You are giving me courage to do the same. I just realized that although I have a big family, I am truly alone. No one wants to do do Carnivore with me. I can only count in myself to get started and to stick to it. Now I know that going solo is possible and if you did it, so can I!! A big thank you for giving me a new vision. God bless you and Dave. Thank you Dave for all you do. I love all your videos but this one has specially spoken to me.

Good for you on standing your ground! You deserve to be healthy and happy.
