I saw this last night and loved it. I also went in begrudgingly based on the reviews and the length but ended up being transfixed from beginning to end. I wasn't bored for a second. I hope people ignore the reviews and see it

This movie is absolutely a 10/10 masterpiece

Western fan but not a Kevin Costner fan with a couple of exceptions, I saw this today and loved it. I absolutely could have marched right back into that theater and watched another 3 hours part 2. I genuinely cared about these characters and what happens to them. If you love westerns or epic cinematography go see it on a big screen, don't listen to the naysayers complaining about the length or other things.

Please ignore the critics, they have no idea. Its a masterpiece. It will stir every emotion in your body: it was traumatic, dramatic, funny, sad, dusturbing and romantic. No CGI and truly authentic. Time flies and Im gripped by the story. Can not wait for part 2.

I’m soooooo glad someone finally has a positive review! I’m 26 and grew up watching westerns with my dad. Horizon was great! I hate how our society has such a short attention span that they won’t give a great movie a chance. I hope we get to see all 4 parts.

Just got out of the theater. I'm floored by Horizon. I expected a slow burn. When people say "nothing happens", or that it's "boring", then I know it's the kind of movie I'm looking for. Two of my favorites are Blade Runner 2049 and Apocalypse Now Redux, two epic movies that were deemed too long. The funniest thing that's been said about it is : "I can't help but feel that Part 1 is for characters and stories to be put in context, that it feels like the beginning of something bigger." Duh! It is Kevin Costner's best work and I am craving for Part 2. Part 3 is being shot, so we know we'll get this one too. It is the most beautiful western I've ever seen. Unforgiven is my all time favorite. I love the Sergio Leone flicks too, but I prefer this kind of cinema. Masterful. Costner doesn't seem to care if it ultimately fails moneywise. I think that it's the critics that have failed big time!

So I just saw part one this afternoon and I was blown away. I couldn't get enough of it and I certainly didn't want it to end. I can't wait for part two in August. I've already pre-ordered parts one and two on 4K from Amazon Canada. After I saw your review the other day I was pumped!

I am not crazy about Costner's politics, but he is always leaves it at the door and delivers great cinema. I am looking forward to making this film part of my July 4th weekend! Thanks for your take, Heath!

I saw it today. Good movie! I go to about one movie a year..... but will be going to see chapter two on release date in August!

Performances were incredible… great cast… I did not feel like 3 hours to me .. excited for part 2 .. cinematography was amazing

I saw this last night and I absolutely loved it! Everything you said perfectly summed up the movie. It was so good, beautifully shot, awesome set pieces, moments that made you wanna cry and laugh, great performances all around. It was such an enjoyable experience

i think alot of younger people my age dont vibe with these movies and its sad. i been told westerns are boring from alot of people and i just feel like people dont give these movies a chance. looking forward to this one
