1:16 A little bit of Alien trivia for those of you who want it, but the idea that this is some sort of shuttle separate from the Nostromo is actually a somewhat common misconception. That ship is actually just the Nostromo itself. The thing it undocks from is the mineral refinery it was towing as cargo, like a truck pulling an oversized load trailer. Other than being part of the background info explaining what the Nostromo and her crew were doing out in space to begin with, it's never really plot relevant and nobody ever goes inside.

The nose bleed was from a scene not included in the film where Ripley lures the Alien into an airlock but it sees them and runs, the nose bleed is from the pressure drop in that scene, continuity that ended up not being continuity

These people are truck drivers, who just know enough science to keep their space big rig running. I mean, this was the 70s and truck movies with Bert Reynolds mustache where the thing. This is a haunted house movie about truckers in space, and I love it.
